I had this big smile plstered on my face while reading the last 3 parts especially the 13th one. The way little ashar joins the family in celebrating the arrival of the babies and forgets his own insecurities, you've made evident how he'll be a caring and loving brother when he grows older.

I'm really sorry for not updating this weekend! Really really sorry but I've been terribly busy so didn't get time to... 😔

But I'm updating today! Even tho I haven't replied to any of your comments, but I still am... Cos I'm guessing you guys would probably want an update instead of my fazol replies, no? 😉

I was thinking of delaying the update until I replied to the comments but then I figured out why you should you guys suffer for that, right? By waiting for an update? So I'll reply to the previous comments after this update!

And I must add the response I got on my last update was overwhelming!! Such nice long comments mentioning which part everyone liked! I loved reading them all! Thank You *bows deeply*

Dear Diary,

It was pretty hard being happy for my family when my family was studiously ignoring me and busy jumping up and down at the sight of my brand new baby sister. Everyone crowded around my dad and then took turns holding her like she was a Cricket World Cup while dad fretted about, squeaking, "Careful! Be careful!" And I felt like screaming, 'Stop freaking out Dad! She's only a Baby, not your precious Laptop!'

The sight of Dad holding someone other than me, made me want to cry. I hadn't thought of him capable of such treachery. Controlling my tears, I quietly made my way to my mum and was relieved to find that atleast she remembered her son as she showered kisses all over my face and for the first time in my life that didn't annoy me.

As I cuddled into my mum, I was shocked to find her stomach deflated. The hospital people had succeeded in doing what I couldn't. And that was puncturing her stomach! With those large needles called Injections I guess. I felt my temper rise. Who are they to touch my mum? If only I could see the doctor who had done this, I'd give him a piece of my mind. Well, I'd scream 'What The' at him, I'm sure he'd understand.

Akash Chacho entered at that moment, carrying another devil, Ummm I mean baby. And Payal Mausi was rolled in behind them on a really cool bed with wheels. I wanted to have a ride on it too but Mum wouldn't let me.

Anser started crying then without warning, shocking Akash Chacho terribly but I was already ready for it. I mean, Hello? He's Payal Mausi's son! Crying buckets of tears is in his genes!

A very flabbergasted Akash Chacho took his son to Payal Mausi to find her already drowning in a puddle of her own tears, opening and closing her mouth like a Goldfish while no sound came out. Finally she managed between sobs, "Akash Ji, Ab hum kia karain ge? Humara Munna ro raha hai Akash Ji" before succumbing to tears again.

A low 'Bhai' escaped Chacho's mouth as he started towards my dad holding his screaming baby but seeing him already holding Asmara he stopped short, running his hand through his hair in helplessness as he just stood looking here and there before Manorma Daadi stepped in for the rescue, loudly exclaiming "Why fear when Manorma is there?" and finally everyone heaved a sigh of relief.

Dad, on the other hand was completely oblivious to his surroundings as he just stared at Asmara mutely as if she had a laptop screen fitted on her neck instead of a face. His lack of speech or to be more precise, his lack of 'What The' made me wonder if he had slept with the mosquito repellent again and hence lost his voice.

And thinking of allergies, It clicked me then that I had finally found what I was allergic to! These two new babies!

Same way as a mosquito repellent makes dad lose his voice and Payal Mausi's Chameli ka tail makes Akash Chacho sneeze, these two infants made me want to cry! That would explain why I've been feeling like having a good cry ever since I entered this ward but had controlled myself cos I can't very well cry in front of my baby sister, can I?

Sure, its a little weird kind of an allergy but strange allergies do run in the family. I should know, I've become an expert living in my house.

Dad was still busy staring at his 'Little Angel' and that annoyed the hell out of me. Were there less staring sessions in Shantivan without this new duo? But I was relived to find that Asmara was sleeping peacefully and wasn't reciprocating the stare like mum did and that is what encourages dad to stare at her even more. But having a staring competition with a sleeping baby looked so boring! Don't know whats wrong with dad!

Finally Dad noticed me sitting next to Mum, walked towards me and lowered the bundle of blankets in front of my face as he softly introduced me to my sister saying, "Ashar, meet your baby sister, Asmara" like I was too dumb to figure it out myself.

I looked at her closely and I had to give it to the hospital! They had done a really good job at manufacturing her. She resembled Mum to a startling degree!

And that helped me guess that it was probably dad who placed the order for my sister and got one made just like Mum. No wonder he feels inclined to stare at her face too!

But there was a difference in his stare I had noticed right away. Dad stares at mum like a lunatic without a properly functioning brain but he stared at Asmara with so much love in his eyes that it was a little unnerving! And he blinked quite frequently to stop his tears from falling too, something he doesn't do with Mum. And there was the sweetest smile on his lips which isn't there when he's staring at mum cos his mouth hangs open a little.

We went back home together to be greeted by Anjali Bua and her Poja ki thaal. That woman seriously needs a new hobby!

She waved it in front of both babies and then applied some red colour to their forehead although it wasn't even Holi. And So, my new siblings were welcomed into Shantivan.

Who are they to touch my mum? If only I could see the doctor who had done this, I'd give him a piece of my mind. Well, I'd scream 'What The' at him, I'm sure he'd understand.
