Spice Girls Hangout: Farewell Edition.

Rabba Ve SG's! 🤗

The epic tournament has finally ended after 3 LONG days of play.

It had everything - anger, passion, attacks, counterattacks, rain delay (lots of tears) and suspense. The invader has been vanquished and thrown out of center court, and the Raizada family has finally said FAREWELL to the snake in the Garden of Eden. The home team has WON the day.

Or has it?

Today's Take 5 posted live from the studios of India Forums, where commentators are going NUTS dissecting a play by play of each shot. Whattay match! 👏

1. Khushi-ji - you Mata Hari, you! First thoughts first - there's far too much shoulder grabbing and cheek cupping and general touching going on in IPK land. People need to keep their limbs under control when trying to make a point. 😡

Now its the Hulk's turn - as he grabs Dear Anj by the shoulders, trying to convince her that Khushi-ji is some sort of juvenile femme fatale. It really isn't her fault, Rani Sahiba - when faced with an overwhelming specimen of masculinity such as myself, who could possibly resist? She's young and impulsive - she probably got carried away!

Khushi-ji is looking like she wants to barf. 🤢 Payal-ji closes her eyes, takes a deep breath, and...

2. ...THAR SHE BLOWS! (old nautical saying) A special shout-out to Doc and Rags - this take dedicated to you 🤗

Payaliya - you've waited a year for your moment in the sun - don't screw this up now. "Hulk-ji, you are beyond besharam, but don't assume no one will stand by Khushi. I've only been quiet for all this time coz the CV's forgot I freaking existed." 😡

"Cut. Deepali - no ad libbing! Stick to the script."
"Right. Sorry. Where was I?"

She's been quiet for a really long time coz she didn't want Di to get hurt. But now its time for everyone to know that Hulk-ji PRETENDED TO BE SINGLE AND GOT ENGAGED TO KHUSHI WHILE STAYING WITH THEM FOR MONTHS AS A PAYING GUEST!!! 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡

AAAND...nothing. Pfft.

W*F? 😲 Wasn't this the longest running con perpetrated by the Hulk? The mother of all lies? It exploded with all the intensity of a wet firecracker. Dear Anj and Akash barely changed expressions, Mami-ji made tiny o-face, only Nani-ji's eyes got marginally bigger.

Di can't take it anymore and starts to sway delicately. Arnav-ji wants to take her away, but the director-ji wants to wrap this up today. So Dear Anj has to take a whiff of metaphorical smelling salts and is marched right back to the center of the battlefield.

3. Show me the Money. Or in this case, the pictures. The Hulk wants Payaliya to provide proof of the engagement, surely she has photographic evidence to back up this claim? You can almost hear the air escaping from Payaliya's balloon as she visibly deflates.

The Hulk's firing on two targets now. A pox on both Gupta sisters - all they wanted was to trap rich husbands! They NEVER cared about this family! Said rich husbands continue to stand there like they've been turned into pillars of salt, while the wives are dragged through the proverbial mud.

That said, I have sympathy for the rest of the Raizadas at this point, especially Nani and Akash bitwa. They're probably wondering W*F happened to their erstwhile loving family, and when its members were replaced by the cast and crew of the Ringling Brothers Circus. 😕

4. Arnav-ji, some help would be nice - like NOW! 😡 He's never let her complete a sentence before without cutting her off, and now he lets her flounder for 3 episodes straight without uttering a word. Good job with the show of support there, buddy!

"I only said whatever it was I said coz I was trying to trap him into revealing the truth!" Nanhe-ji tries to help, but is swatted away like a pesky fly. Hush now, little boy - don't interrupt when the grown-ups are talking.

Finally, Khushi-ji can't take it anymore, and turns back to the Supreme Court. "Arnav-ji, do you trust me? Look into my eyes and decide for yourself!" I wonder if that would work for defending yourself against parking tickets and other misdemeanors in an actual court of law. Why bother with lawyers - everyone just needs to ask the judge to look into their eyes."

Arnav-ji FINALLY decides the time has come to deliver the verdict, and starts his slow walk toward the plaintiff and the defendant.

5. The SLAP heard around the world. Arnav-ji delivers the goods, ASR-ishtyle. THAT is for hurting my Di! 😡And THIS is for messing with my wife! 😡 The Hulk's ears are ringing and little birds are tweeting circles around his head. More collar grabbing by ASR - who at long last understands that its time to put out the trash before it starts to reek up the house. 👍🏼

"Shyam Manohar Jha - I'm letting you go coz we need a badass villain to keep things interesting. 😡 You've worked hard to cover for me while I was away for my movie shoot - the two slaps and this mini vacation are just our way of saying thank you. Come back soon when you've figured out a new way to make our lives hell! 🤗"

The audience is ecstatic and blowing wolf whistles at the screen. The party hats are on and the noisemakers are blaring - just in time for the weekend. 🥳

Me? I'm a little . If this were an actual court of law - the case against the Hulk would have been dismissed in a heartbeat due to lack of corroborating evidence. The chief witness chose to remain silent about what he saw on the terrace on that fateful night - opting to rely on his power of diktat.

I guess this is what sets up grounds for the Hulk to worm his way back into the affections of the family starting with Di - since the argument against him was never really proven to be true.

Will this be addressed on Monday? Will the dysfunctional Raizadas be able to move on, and most important - will their sainted, long suffering audience? 😕

Just one thought looking at this family photo so full of anger and betrayal and drama - did they really pin Mamiji's saree to her ass? 😲

So. Another week comes to an explosive end in IPK land...and with it - this final edition of Take 5 for the summer.

Due to a perfect storm of increased responsibilities at work, a houseful of guests from across the seven seas, and business travel - Take 5 will be going on hiatus for 11/28/45 days. I hope you'll miss it (and me) at least a little - coz I will miss you all INSANELY. 😭 Will try and peek in whenever this forced detox gets to be too much to handle. Good news - Sari should be back next week to resume anchor duties (Sari, we've missed you! 🤗) and will keep the hangout thriving as usual.

I just have ONE request - hold the supersized red font in reserve for me...I've grown attached to it! 😛

Until then, have boatloads of fun, don't forget to haze the newbies, and long live the golden rule of the hangout - PHANGURLING IS TABOO, and SNARK IS KING. OR QUEEN. OR RULER OF UNDETERMINED GENDER (for those who insist on being politically correct)

RABBA VE SG's!!! LOVE YA! 🤗

What an explosive episode, this scene is far from over and we have to wait for 2 days to see ASR's side of the story.

Payal steps in to defend her sister and makes it known, that the entire Gupta family
was aware about Shyam's lies. The chasm is now wide open in the Payash relation as well as between the Guptas vs Raizadas for hiding the truth.

Arnav steps in to walk his sister off from the confrontation but an over confident Shyam stops and continues his defense. He goes straight for the jugular in asking for photo evidence from Payal, almost making mami believe that the sisters planned it for the RM money. Abbhas was brilliant and I have to applaud the CV's for redeeming Shyam's character from the silly soap thief.

His words about calling Khushi opportunistic and a girl lusting after her BIL, makes all the members of the family shocked on even hearing such words. This was the breaking point for Khushi who then goes directly to Arnav and not anyone else, her husband whom she has not addressed so far.

Nice continuation of the dialogue uttered in the RM office by Khushi to Arnav where she says that people who utter the truth can look straight in the eyes and do not need dark glasses. She asks Arnav to look into her eyes and judge for himself.

ASR picks up on Khushi's question and decides it is the time to end this. He lands two resounding slaps to Shyam for making the mistake to mess in the lives of the two most important people in his life - his sister and his wife. The small smile amidst the tears says it all for Khushi, validation of her husband on her innocence in front of the family members.

Arnav and Khushi's relation is the only one that has weathered the storm and there is a sea of destruction all around - Anjali, Payash, Guptas vs Raizadas, Arnav making RM wasis realize that Khushi is as much a victim as Anjali is - so many tracks, so many possibilities and we are still Waiting .. waiting ..waiting..waiting for Arhi romance to bloom amidst this drama and chaos.

🤗 Dhamaakedaar Friday Rabba Ve, TGIF and what a way to say farewell, J 😭

First things first. Congratulations to our Thappad Gate winners! 👍🏼

Sci-Payal, AM, Joey, Ash, Magnetic, Diya, Vistaa, but especially Rag1ni (for finally winning a sharth and being the hangout's chahiti bachchi with mad, scary talent!). Nicely done, ladeej! 🥳

Phew! Whattay final three minutes - ek dum jhakaas, dhaasu, dhinchak, rapchik... phat, phat... ek ke saath ek pheeree...👏👏

Devi Maiyya ki kripa se two characters who've been MIA for a while returned with fanfare today

1. ASR, welcome back dude. You have no idea how much I missed the 'tude. 😃

2. Payal jiji, I thought we'd lost you forever. I almost wept with relief when she said "bas ho gaya",walked right upto Shyam and said "bandh kijiye apna bakwaas". Payal's always been a well meaning but somewhat ineffectual character, always some one's burden but the one thing that kept her interesting to me was that she was also tiger sis. When she'd walked upto the mighty ASR undaunted and said leave my sister alone and she tore strips off him, it made her worth rooting for. Well, for me at least it was a bit of a 360 with Shyam. Except Shyam heaped abuse on her and called her a gold digger and a liar.

Thanks, J for the special mention and Payal love. ❤️ Par chalo, at least Payalji, tiger sis was back. Aaj ka post aapke naam. When will the CVs stop hating on Aakash and give him a spine, some fire and a page of dialog? peleejh CVs, reham karo. 🤢

For a while there it was a bit depressing wasn't it? 😭 Flame war on the Gupta sisters with the Raizadas wimps errr boys in attendance. Khushi pleading for her husband to look into her eyes and see the truth - if that wasn't agni pariksha, not sure what is.

But when the ASR BG music started, both words and actions spoke resoundingly. More than even the fact that he gave Di and his biwi equal importance in the eyes of everyone present, that he kicked Shyam out decisively had me clapping. 👏 👏Once he'd put his faith behind the patni, there was nothing else to be done --- Di ke liye, coz how can you let such a man breathe the same air as your loved ones?

For everyone who thinks ArHi had a plan and there were phantom eyelocks and verbal communication and all of that was orchestrated, I hope you're all WRONG! I would be so mad if he knew the truth and then let that play out for so long. 😡 It would be for me a billion times worse than when he whacked her head with that danda for her OWN GOOD! DM, save us from a love like that!

I'd be so much more willing to accept that as much as he wanted to believe his wife, he needed for Di's sake and his own (they have countervailing interests) to hear it all. Yes, Shyam beating up on Khushi (and for me Payal too) was hard to watch. But Khushi accused Shyam of being an adulterer, a kidnapper, a failed murderer. Shyam accused her of being an adulterer, a gold digger, a schemer, mentally unstable and worst blow of all --- of not having A character. Sound familiar? Some of that not so different from what she's heard before, no?

Classic he said-she said... not a shred of evidence (I'll ignore all of Laxmi Nagar for now! 😉), not even circumstantial evidence. She at least had 2 supporters arguing her defense, he had none. Of course, she has the truth on her side, but we as the audience know it, the Raizadas don't. Arnav knows some of it, but he also has his Di by him with her world falling apart. If Khushi needed to tell her story (which he's never given her a chance to do thusfar) in all fairness Shyam did too. Did Shyam cross the line?... of course but in many ways, it's plausible that Khushi did too. They were accusing each other of the SAME crimes - gold digging, adultery, scheming. Do you believe the ostensibly loving, smooth talking daamaadji/jijaji who's wormed his way into your good graces over many years or the lovely, charming girl you've known for about a year? 😲😕

I'm not rushing to judge the Raizadas --- not even Arnav --- until we've seen this scene play out fully. If this was some stoopid plan to throw Khushi to the wolves yet again to "save" her, I'll be furious. 😡 If not, I'm willing to accept that trust doesn't come easy to ASR, but when push came to shove, he made the right call. He vanquished any lurking demons and for the first time showed unconditional trust. Tell me ASR hasn't come a long, long way from one year ago. As I said, welcome back ASR --- new, improved in soul, dil, dimaag but unfortunately grimy and unwashed in person. Now if only we could get you out of banianji mode, STAT! 😛

Sharthwa Ve: kisswa edition (courtesy Jamba): Is this pic from the milan CPR or a spoiler pic from morance in the future (only DM knowjh when!)

Note: morance = romance (spoonerism!) Since the show is not giving us any pyaar right now, I can't even say the word right!!!

CPR : Docgirl, J, Joey, Howcome, Moksha, Israt, Payal, Radss, paru, leah

Morance spoiler: Sci-Payal, Tee, Mandy, Diya, Maxine, Savvy, Bobop, Shwetha, Vistaa, AM, Rag1ni, chini_chokri, Hriju, chip, magnetic, jerryik

Penalty:Send a virtual kisswa to a character you don't like for some redeeming quality/ deed

If I missed your wager (sorry!) or you want to jump in, peleejh holler and I'll update.

Diya's post

Firecracker of an episode... and AWESOME take as always, Lady J! 👏😆 On first watch, I was completely on your page ... including the 😕 😲 ... WT* ??? That's all? Slap and Get Out?! But nobody proved anything, it was just Creep's word against Khushi's and pffft, the big man delivered his verdict ... what the heck did he have to wait for so long for?! Fell totally flat for me ... I was hoping for Shyam to firmly put his foot in his mouth and get caught out ... 😕

On re-watch though ... has Shyam does exactly that? Expressions of the family seemed to indicate that they were not completely swayed by his blustering and bad-mouthing ... and some of them do know that what Shyam was saying was false ...so picture abhi baaki hai, mere dost ...

Akash knows that Payal was not trying to trap him, he had to in fact plead and beg her to marry him ... and so does Arnav ...

NK heard the paying guest truth for the first time, but he could put it together very well with what he had already seen, and he knows now the entire picture ...

Mami and Nani have seen Khushi worry for Arnav when he went missing, Anjali saw her love for Arnav, she was the first to point it out to Khushi ... did they entirely believe Shyam when he claimed Khushi was running after him? Even if they weren't sure, it's a start ... there is room for doubt in their minds.

When Khushi told Anjali that she didn't want to tell her about the engagement, I felt at that point that Anjali did not entirely disbelieve her ... besides, Arnav got the confirmation from Payal about Khushi's engagement story ... I felt that's when the scales tipped for him, he'd heard enough, he knew that was huge for Anjali, and he was looking out for his sister at that point, that was why he started to take her away ... and so did Shyam, which was why he forced Anjali to stay back ... and went into fifth gear with his accusations ...

I agree with doc's pov that the family did need to give them both a hearing ... neither had proof to back up their claims, it was one's word against the other, and for the Raizada family, it was obviously more difficult to believe Khushi over a man who'd been a well-loved and respected part of the family for the last three years and had never put a foot wrong ...

Besides, for Arnav it was like looking in a mirror, these were all accusations he had leveled at Khushi himself, and hearing them from Shyam would have been a shocker, bringing home to him how badly he had misjudged her and how badly he had treated her, knowing them now to be false.

And finally ... when Khushi made that plea ... again at first watch, I didn't like it ... what happened to all that trust, that atoot vishwas and all that jazz? 😆

But on reflection ... dj vu of the airport scene ... when she begged Arnav to believe her, he asked her for proof, and she was trying desperately to supply proof, to produce a witness ... and she couldn't. Now she laid out all the facts on the table, including the damaging ones that yes, she told Shyam she wanted to bring down Arnav, but only to win Shyam's trust ... she even got close to a man she hated, because she needed to find Arnav (loved NK for backing her up there and saying that Khushi lied to Shyam to deceive him) ... she does not have a shred of proof, she only has her word ... and he can see the truth in her eyes ... again dj vu to the Sethi brothers, when she said a person can always be caught out in lies when they don't meet the eyes ...

And Big Boss delivers his verdict ... in not one, but two tight slaps ... one for his sister, one for his wife ... placing Khushi at the same level as Anjali ... and throwing Shyam out of the house.

But like I said, picture baaki hai mere dost ... there are still more revelations to come ... the biggest one ... Arnav has known about Shyam's kameena ways almost as long as Khushi has, and also kept quiet in front of the family and Di. Why did he not say a word about that, when it would have been the clincher? Would it have been too much of a shock for Anjali to realize that her brother knew her husband was a kameena, and did absolutely nothing about it? Except to marry the girl concerned? Now I can see the rift between Anjali and Arhi develop ... and with due reason ... Anjali is the wronged party ' she had the right to know, she has the right to decide Shyam's punishment.

Lady J, we need your take fives!!! Come back soon!!!

Mandy, Sri, Vistaa, doc ... loved your takes, girls!

Vistaa's take
-----------------------------------

Vaidehi anyone?

That was the first thing that came to mind as Khushi's name was being dragged in the mud by that despicable dhobi-wannabe, Shyam. His cheap allegations and clever twist of words, turning his own grotesque misdeeds into Gupta Sisterhood of Snaring Raizada Bros, were akin to the washerman pointing a cruel finger at Sita Mayya'.and what appeared to be a dragest of his cheap and reprehensible allegations against Khushi and Payal, was perhaps designed to ensure maximum effect''..

But this is where the analogy ended and the contrast began...whilst Bhagwan Ram had demanded the agni pareeksha, ASR was just waiting to announce to the world that he was a believer... Utter and complete believer in his wife's innocence, no proof, no alibi, no exonerating evidence required, thank you very much. All that was needed to galvanize him into action was Khushi's emotion-fraught statement of the bottom-line : "I am telling the truth and this man is lying...I have no tangible evidence to support what I am saying, but you have to just look into my eyes and find out the truth here..."

For all the melodrama and tears, today was really just about faith and belief...

Like Khushi has said more than once..."baat sach aur jhooth ki nahi hai, baat vishwaas ki hai..."

And today ODB affirmed that he was a believer...nothing more, nothing less.

VM version of this believer business:😊

What an episode, Deepali finally got a chance to shine and she did her best to make the most of it. Like NK, Payal too was disgusted with Shyam and held back as long as she could but she had enough. I really have to hand it to Payal, NK and Khushi for the fight they put up despite the odds against them.

Arnav's silence was frustrating no doubt about it, but it was also understandable for the following reasons. First one being the fact he is torn between his sister and his wife, just like we expected. Just think about it, had he revealed what he knew that would have topped all the shocks Anjali recieved so far. Like Arnav, for Anjali he is everything to her so if she were to know for months he knew the truth and kept her in the dark it would be heartbreaking. The second, guilt. Arnav has a lot to feel guilty about after what he's now witnessed. It is like Diya said about Arnav looking in a mirror, not too long ago he doubted Khushi despite her telling everything about Shyam and today she had NK and Payal backing her up every step of the way. Not only this, but he too insulted Khushi's character only for Khushi his words by far left more of an impact than Shyam's ever could. Once again Khushi did not care of anyone's opinion for her except Arnav's, he realized he had to speak up and give Khushi the justice he once cheated her out of.

Finally the slap happened, though late it happened. Arnav had enough and made it known to his family and to Shyam that both Khushi and Anjali are important in his life. ASR has now emerged and he is not about to let Shyam wreak havoc in the lives of Khushi and Anjali anymore. Shyam has been kicked out but surely will return but before he does, I do hope Arnav reveals what he's known all along. It does not have to be done infront of Anjali, but let it be said to the rest of the family along with an apology to Khushi for everything he put her through. Sometime next week, please CVs include a shower and change of clothes!!

J, I am going to miss your take 5s! Come back soon! 🤗

hello everyone….so finally the day arrived…but why did it feel like drinking flat coke….for me the thappad was a tad late even if asr was in character as suggested by the spoilers et al….if asr was truly in character then he should have remembered his di first thing when he was captive…nevertheless i loved him giving shyam the creep two thappads with awesome mindblowing expressions…and even jhakaas dialogues….get out never sounded sweeter…this stylish dialogue delivery was what i was missing since so many days….asr is indeed back….

i just loved payal today….she didnt bow down to shyam's tactics…held her ground…kept defensing her sister..God n us viewers only know how much she needed to do this for khushi…she has absolutely no idea to what lengths khushi has gone to give her pleasure and a life full of joy….i loved it for khushi's sake…

shyam was amazing…bful acting of a creep…kudos…coz i actually felt like kicking him out..good that asr did it for us….

i dont know what anjali has bargained for…but if this is the beginning of sobfest then im already too tired….and logic tells me there is much more….but in ipkknd most of the time logic doesnt work..so can i be hopeful for 60-40 romance -sobfest….??

what's with mamiji though….she has done a complete volte face as far as khushi is concerned..she never liked payal so when shyam accuses payal as well her disgusted expression showed me that she is in character…but with khushi…well that is hard 2 figure out….

poor naniji is almost a shadow of the past…no dialogues watsoever..nada…wow!!!

and lastly but not least..khushi…the one expression which ahs stayed with me till now is when she heard arnav say meri patni se badtameezi and that she is one fo the most imp persons in his life…awww….i felt so so happy for her..i almost forgave asr for being quiet when shyam called khushi "giri hui"…i wish and hope asr now verbalizes and express his love for khushi more often and more clearly …the girl ..for sure deserves it….

all in all…i liked the episode...

Hello all!!

😲 Jamba!!! What is this?? You can't be leaving us like this? You're pulling an ASR on us and I don't like this, I'm katti with you! (Yes, I was reminded of katti and dosti by my 5 year old niece last night, cute lol!)
We'll miss your Take 5's daily, but you can still come and comment for a bit daily. Yes, you can. You can. I'm saying it!

So the slap happened, and we got more than what we bargained for! Ek ke saath, ek muft!!
But, in all seriousness, that was needed and I liked how it played out. Shyam has played with the feelings and lives of the 2 most important people in Arnav's life and now Arnav has vocalized it and shown it in actions. Really that scene and the following dialogues were 👏

I know the "pleading" has left a lot of us dry and distant, but Arnav was with her all throughout. He knew she had no proof and he did give her the "go ahead" before they stepped into Shantivan and again right before she started in front of Anjali. If it were to him, he'd beat Shyam mercilessly and have him arrested, but he refrained for Anjali. But the pleading and the fact that Khushi thought he did not believe her broke it all for him and he stepped up because enough was enough, he couldn't let Khushi down and he needed to be the husband and lover she deserved.

I am looking forward to everything this track will throw at me hence forth. Anjali is not a happy camper and so far no one else at Shantivan seems either. But, Arnav is ready to show his love to Khushi so I anticipate a long heart to heart and assurance that he'll always stand by her henceforth and that he trusts her with all his heart.

A brilliant finish to a tense week. A Great thappad bhara episode.👏

Continued from yesterday Shyam digging and digging his grave.

Throwing Accusations at poor Khushi.

And Family watching the Tamasha

Payalia (I officially love this girl now🤗) Defends her sister like she should do always and Reveals the PG and engagement truth.

Shyam denies, backfires on the sisters for being goldiggers and chasing after the raizada Bros (like ya think they'll go for freebie you or the goodlooking and rich Raizada Bros?😈)

Hurls all these fancy hindi words that i don't understand at Khushi's character.

And then ASR's fuse blows and we get the thappad.

Ek ke saath ek bilkul mooft.

I love how ASR now keeps Khushi at the same level as Di.

I love how ASR acknowledges the importance of Khushi in his life.

Shyam gets kicked out. One chapter closed.

I understand many people are not happy about ASR staying silent.

But I would still like to think that he and Khushi had some strategy because for a man, who cannot listen to a word against Khushi, he cannot stay silent like this unless he is doing so, deliberately.

His eyes did the talking today and you could see his disgust, regret and worry.

I'd like to think he was also silent for his Di, to be her support because her world came crashing down, while even though Khushi was being insulted he knew Khushi had him, NK and Payal as support.

Khushi pleading did get to me also, the poor girl. But I don't think she was begging for Arnav to believe her, because he does, that is why he was silent.

Because if you think back to Tuesday, he asks her about evidence to present to the family as opposed to just evidence.

He knows the girl came to save him, nearly died because of him and if that isn't proof of her innocence in all of this then what is??

Khushi was reaching out for support and he did give that. He came delivered those 4 mins of bliss.

And the ASR english. I love it.

"Not Anymore" "Get Out!"

Also the face off felt a bit like after the wedding confrontation with shyam. So another full circle achieved here.

We still have monday to complete this confrontation drama and i'm sure we will get an insight into ASR and the family... So lets just Shart Away, Party and contribute to the TRPs of the hangout🤗🥳

No new VM. Made this a couple of weeks ago. Not making any until i get new material to cut, snip and glue. (or however long my control lasts this weekend) Syncs a bit off in this one. Sorry.
