Worth a Thousand Words: Punar Vivaah Print Ad Analysis
In honor of reaching 100 episodes of Punar Vivaah, I just wanted to take a look at Yash and Aarti's journey so far through the juxtaposition of two key images...
The new print ad/poster led to a whirlwind of thoughts...Felt like sharing a few of them here!
I have to voice my admiration for the PV team here as well - I've loved every single one of the print ads that has come out so far. Seeing this new one was such a lovely surprise!

1) The text: There's a theme, an undercurrent that flows...courage to reach out and embrace second chances in life...
Then: "They had the courage to make a new beginning."
Now: "She had the courage to remarry. Will she find the courage to love again?"
2) The image: I loved the emphasis that has been given on Yash and Aarti's hands in every image so far. They say that destiny is written in the lines of our hands, right? But we also have the choice to shape our lives, don't we?
Then: Yash and Aarti are shown holding hands, symbolizing their decision to unite through the institution of marriage. But their distance from each other and their expressions reveal that they are not bound to each other by emotion...this marriage is anything but ordinary.
Now: Aarti and Yash are much, much closer in this picture...I love the bright twinkle in Aarti's eyes and the gentle upward turn of her lips, while she clutches a single red rose in her hands. The focal point of this picture is on her hands and the rose...The tender blossoming of love in her heart has begun, but will she find the courage to tell him?
The way Aarti is looking directly at us, with the rose hidden from Yash's view but in full view from our vantage point - it's almost as if she's sharing a secret with us. Those twinkling eyes and that soft smile pierce right through the page and reach out to us. Yash's expression is tender, calm, and peaceful...His stance is confident and relaxed, as if his position behind Aarti is the place where he belongs and there's no other place he'd rather be. There's an aura of innocence along with maturity, of support and solidarity...and there's a hint of a surprise...
Final thought:
- Aaah, I just want Yash and Aarti to be happy now. Together. Gurmeet and Kratika look so SWEET, smiling like that...The sparkle in their eyes seems to spread to their lips...hence the gentle smiles. Just a slight twitch of the lip, and it's a smile - they both did that in Promo 4, I remember, and that was when I fell in love with Gurmeet-Kratika as a jodi instantly. That sweetness and maturity sprinkled with innocence...The day that sweetness spills over in Yash and Aarti's lives, I'll be up in the clouds. *sigh* The wait will be more than worth it...Willing to wait as long as necessary!
