Dear I-F,

Sorry to make such a thread. I don't know how long will you let it last. Will you take some action, provide some response or simply delete or lock it, I don't know.

But still I will speak!

- Satyamev Jayate was easily the most anticipated and talked about Indian TV show in last few months - even before its launch. Still I-F never paid much attention to it - I feel.

- We have no proper Dev team. Just one person. That person is also in a different time zone. She alone is unable to handle the spammers or trolls and quick action is never ensured.

- MOST IMPORTANT - I had believed it was strictly against India Forums policy to discuss stars' or makers' personal lives. In case of Satyamev Jayate forum, I am appalled how the I-F team allows any post or thread about Aamir Khan's personal life, the posters are not even warned, nor their posts deleted. In fact, in one thread, even a Viewbie posted an ill-informed article about Aamir's personal life!
I have a lot of articles and interviews from Aamir's own family which can be used to clarify all stupid rumours about his family. But when I posted links to some of them - my post was deleted! I again wanted to post because the bullshit rumours and commentary on his personal life from random members and trolls did not stop. But I held myself back only because I felt it was against I-F rules to discuss a person's personal life or make any comment!

In other forums, even comments on actors' appearance or dressing sense are not allowed. How come in Satyamev Jayate forum, posts on Aamir's life are allowed? Even despite clarifications?! Are mods or team sleeping?😲

- What kind of ''Dev team'' do we have? Pics or videos of Satyamev Jayate may or may not be updated. If someone else tries to post videos he or she is told not to post Youtube links or let Videobie do the job! But the official threads on Satyamev Jayate Image gallery and Video gallery are lying rotting in back pages of the forum. Our forum has NO banner either. WHAT is this, may I know?

- There have been 3 different threads questioning Aamir's intent or his fees for this show by random members. They may or may not discuss the issues or give healthy criticism or suggestions for improvement of the show. But they talk about Aamir's pay or try to call fans of this show as fools or ''being led by a movie star'' etc. Anyone who defends Aamir is also called a ''paid lawyer'' or someone on Aamir's payrolls! 😡 How the hell are mods allowing this?
Some people have deliberately tried to bring other stars' names and tried to make it some fan war sort of discussion, while talking about Aamir's pay they also drag his family in it or paste links to rumours - DESPITE all clarifications on Aamir's pay and the economics of this show, why the hell are such threads being allowed?!!! Why don't mods lock them with immediate effect?

- How come members threads demanding a proper Dev team, some attention from I-F team and proper mods are deleted but threads by mischief makers are allowed? It is FINE to talk about Aamir's pay repeatedly or nitpick his personal life. But it is a problem if we give suggestions and demands for a saner forum?!

- Earlier we kept thinking maybe I-F team will pay attention to this forum later. Maybe this week we will get a banner, new mods, some action on trouble making posts etc. But two months passed, the show is about to end in 2-3 weeks now, still I-F team did nothing!!! Is I-F team so busy or short of staff that they could not even focus a proper team for a show which has to last for just 3 months?!😕 Or maybe love story shows are more important and Satyamev Jayate was given shoddy treatment because it will end in 3 months any way!🤪

- Several members who used to actively post in SJ forum earlier, have now stopped posting. Even some of us [like me!!] feel it's better to post on SJ website or FB page, than come here and look at same old silly discussions on Aamir's personal life, pay etc.!

Sometimes when one sees this forum, one wonders if it is Satyamev Jayate forum or the Bollywood forum where gossip on pay, personal life or a stars' education or lack of it, is going on!

Will you guys from I-F team ever take action? Or will the forum be allowed to remain as it is and later be archived after 3 weeks with all muck as it is?!

I wonder if India Forums ever made any other serial forum members beg as much as they are making members of this forum, request, PM or beg them for some attention and regulatory action on this forum! Why such (pardon me) double standards in regard to Satyamev Jayate forum?!

Sorry I-F. After seeing what happened all these months in Satyamev Jayate forum, I am sure I won't be coming to I-F again. Maybe it's meant to encourage gossip only. Or maybe it's only love stories or song-dance shows which deserve mods and proper attention and not a show like SJ.

Satyamev Jayate forum had a few active members to begin with, later members grew, but then again members stopped being active. I-F team did not take solid action on trouble makers. Probably if your team had taken action against silly personal life gossip posts and tried maintaining the forum with articles, banners, info etc. then members would have remained active too. But if team is not there in first place, how will any member remain interested for long?

In end, do LOCK my thread or warn me WITHOUT reading my post or tell me to ''understand''. And do allow threads on AK's personal life or salary run into multiple pages. 😆 Or allow more threads on Aamir's pay to come up every week!🐷

Wah tumhara forum! Satyamev Jayate ko Gossipmev Jayate bana ke rakh diya!

i agree on loads of points with u annika

but please dont leave the SMJ forum cause mods dont care or cause of the trolls.

even with 4 members around, we can have a sane conversation. We being everyone else who really have something worthwhile to add to the show.

Mods said to contact GM/Admin, and from there, everything is a lost cause.

The team does not ''cause'' trolls or spam. But it does not take action against them either! How the hell are we having 4-5 threads on Aamir's pay, and posts about Aamir's personal life both in pay threads and other episode update threads?!😲

How come mods can't delete or lock such threads or display a strict warning?

You're talking of leaving SJ forum?! Ha! I don't wish to ever participate in any forum of India Forums, seeing the way they've dealt with this forum and enforced no strict regulations here!

Two members come here and leave silly comments in domestic violence thread, equating divorce to domestic violence. Nothing is done. Some members with names like ''KingKhanSRK'' deliberately make threads here, posting anti SJ articles and trying to initiate some star war/fan war instead of healthy debate on pros and cons of this show. BUT nothing is done! No action taken!

Our threads demanding regulation are locked. Other tom-foolery posts and threads are allowed!

I have seen other serials' forums. Such things are not allowed there. Why is crap being allowed here? I remember in BV forum I had once got warned for calling a fictional character a mistress (which she was!). But here in this forum, even posts on a real guy - Aamir Khan are being allowed and any false allegation is being allowed - with no warnings or deletion!!

And the funny thing is that when someone like me tries posting articles which clarify rumours about personal life, then that is deleted. Discussion about personal life is not allowed, then why are silly rumours being allowed?

It is not just silly rumors. Every week people come here and spam the forum for 10 pages or so. Every week a few of us go on war footing to get the board cleaned up and what is the result?

We get sarcastic posts from the Mod for making her life miserable - miserable because we asked her to do the job she volunteered to do. Our threads asking for action are locked down and trashed - so that no evidence remains of any protest; our PMs are unanswered, most often unopened.

Someone comes and starts posting trash about other religions and communities and repeated Reports against that person are not actioned upon. In fact he receives nor warning whatsoever.

Another person comes and starts talking about personal issues and abusing family members and upbringing of members and she gets no warning.

It seems anybody and everybody is free to come and post what they like here. This is one forum that should be kept open well beyond the telecast of the show. The way things are going on now, I don't if the Dev team will keep it open even on the day the last episode is telecast. The sooner this forum is closed the lesser work they'll have.

You said it Chitrashi!

Comments on members own communities or religion, personal attacks on Aamir Khan and his family and of course SPAM are ruining the forum experience. No action is taken. No warnings issued, no posts or threads deleted!

Now many times I feel like replying to crap threads, but wonder why the hell am I doing it? Such threads are coming every week and most of them turn into fan wars or personal fights - something which I absolutely wished to avoid.

When I had joined this forum I had thought we would discuss issues in it, debate about the show and how it could have been better etc. - some constructive discussions! And because I had seen I-F's strict rules and discipline in other forums I had thought maybe this show's forum would also be like it. I can understand tom-foolery going on Twitter or FB or other gossip forums. But never thought I-F would allow it!

They claim that credibility of the site matters to them and they discourage comments in bad taste about stars or production houses or channels. Then why are such threads being allowed here? I had thought member experience and spam control were top priorities of I-F. And look what's happening here!! Members are being personally targeted, threads are turning into religion or background based fights, spam on day of telecast is so much that one flees the forum upon first sight! 😲

Sone pe suhaga, it is members who request for regulation who're being attacked or thwarted, not members who are spoiling the forum and user experience!

Haha! 😆 I agree, maybe the I-F team will close this forum the day the last episode is to be shown. Wonder why they even bothered creating a forum for this show on their esteemed website, if they didn't have the time or man power to handle the work around it!

oh no no no!!

Anu,

Dont leave SJ,I stuck to this forum only after I saw you posting, and here have met wonderful people and shared great knowledge.I remember our BV debacle, but its completely different here, you have the support of many members.

DEV team or people commenting on the negatives of SJ shouldnt affect that brilliant mind of yours, you have strong convictions and has grasped the true cusp of SJ i.e.- to bring change in the way a society percieves and a change within ourselves.

And as far as dev team is concerned , well we we cannot let their efficiency and their lack of will be an obstacle for SJ but it doesnt changes who we are and what we stand for on this forum and for those who would rather look at Aamir's divorce or his pay packet I have this quote-"The greatest ignorance is to reject something you know nothing about".

Without minimizing the problems you are having here, let me tell you that I would give a lot to be on a forum without mods. There are many that are being run like mini police states. Soon we will be given a list of approved vocabulary which we must stick to under threat of warnings/bans and what have you. 😆

Be careful what you wish for!

IF just can't seem to strike the right balance it seems!

@Charminggenie

Please do not misunderstand me. It's not about me or how I personally feel. It's about a sort of user experience. I don't know if I will stick around the SJ forum or not. It does not even matter. But I am sure I won't stick around India Forums again considering how they neglected user requests, complaints and genuine concerns here in this forum.

I don't care if I-F team considers it a warning-worthy post, but sorry to say, it is sheer double standards on their part to allow personal life discussions here, or lock members' genuine threads demanding action on spam and trolls but let new threads on stupidest topics like the show's host's personal life or salary every week!

And is it just about Aamir's personal life? No! Threads on Gandhi or that intolerance to love episode have meandered in such manner that I don't feel like opening them to see what is going on! The thread on divorce also became weird when members out of nowhere started discussing things like each other's upbringing etc.! We're having people who simply come here to bash the show or its host, we have people here indulging in personal fights and name calling, and on top of it we have uncontrollable SPAM every Sunday! Sometimes spam continues on Monday also!

After watching the show one immediately wants to come here and discuss the show. But all we see here is spam, spam, spam!!! And counter threads to complain against spam!🤔
I am not bothered whether I get support in the forum or not. I am talking about the general nature of the forum and its handling. How come IF is allowing flouting of their own so-called rules?

And why is this show being neglected from day one? Okay, it may not get as rabid fans as a love story show (which is understandable), but it does not mean that the forum should be neglected and even a handful of active users here should be deprived of sane user experience and regulated forum for sensible debate and discussion!

@narangi_77

I don't demand a whole police state kind of scenario. But then it's even not right to have complete chaos or people turning the forum into a footpath where anything can happen - from walking, to standing to even spitting and open defecation! 🐷

And seriously, how the hell is IF is silent on spam and personally-targeting comments/threads?

Ever seen discussions on Kyunki forum about how Smriti Irani herself married a much older and divorced man herself but is playing goody-two-shoes Sati Savitri in KSBKBT? Or how Anup Soni is playing a righteous or loving guy in BV but is divorced in real life etc.? Then how the hell are baseless rumours being allowed here?

I have never seen deluge of spam after each telecast of other shows. Why only SJ?

I won't be surprised if people kept making threads on Mr. Aamir Khan's pay or personal life even after this forum is archived or if someone comes and makes a thread called ''Acha hua SJ khatam hua'' 2 weeks later and that baloney thread continues running into 100s of pages!😡

I realise SJ is not a fan forum but then why are we even slacking on acting against spam or allowing personally-targetted threads? And seriously, who the hell is anyone to question supporters of this show in the show's forum itself and try to allege that all supporters of this show are'' fooled'' by a movie star?

If it's not a fan forum, it should not be a fight club or bashing fest either!

IF must try to strike a balance. And ensure all users get a healthy environment to interact. Here we have no control at all! There should be some control if not a total authoritarian regime! Jungle or khandar that's what this forum is! And I say it as it is, whether the mods or admins like it or not and lock my thread or delete it!
