Rinku Singh’s father PASSES AWAY after battling with Stage 4 Cancer

Indian cricketer Rinku Singh suffered a personal loss on February 27 after his father, Khachandra Singh, passed away following a prolonged battle with stage 4 liver cancer. He breathed his last at Yatharth Hospital, where he had been undergoing treatment as his condition worsened in recent days.

According to reports, Khachandra Singh had been placed on ventilator support and was receiving continuous renal therapy as doctors made efforts to stabilise his health. Despite intensive medical care, his condition deteriorated rapidly, leading to his demise. The news has sent shockwaves through the cricketing community, with fans and fellow players expressing condolences to the grieving family.

The heartbreaking development came at a time when Rinku was part of India’s squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The batter had briefly travelled back home earlier when his father’s health took a critical turn ahead of India’s Super 8 clash against Zimbabwe. After spending time with his family, he later rejoined the Indian team in Chennai to continue with national duties.

Rinku was not included in India’s playing XI for the Zimbabwe fixture as the team management opted to reshuffle combinations for the crucial must win encounter. Sanju Samson and Axar Patel were brought into the lineup to adjust the team balance. Samson returned to the top order, while Ishan Kishan shifted down the batting order.
