Finally everything was ready, she had managed to pack all her stuff into into two enormous suitcases and was now sitting on her bed waiting for the taxis arrival which was expected any minute. When the news that she had been offered a dance scholarship in one of the most prestigious university in New York and had obviously accepted it gifts and well wishes seemed to pour in from all her fans and well wishers. She had spent nearly an entire day deciding what to take with her and in the end she just gave up and managed to fit it all in. looking out of the window she saw the taxi arrive and subsequently heard her sister call her downstairs. She picked up one bag in each hand and balancing herself made her way downstairs to the hall. Mukti and neeti her sisters were waiting there for her.
neeti- shaks you have no idea how much I'm going to miss you, but I'm so proud of you! Have I told you that before? My little sisters going to New York
Shakti- that's probably the tenth time you've told me that mukti, and besides since when did I go from shaks to little sister for you
neeti- well, hearing it once again can't hurt can it? And that little sisters not gonna stay I'm still going to call you shaks but in a situation like his a little melodrama is justified right.
The taxi outside gave an impatient honk a clear signal for me to hurry p
Shakti- bye guys I really got to rush or ill miss my flight.\
Neeti- hey just one second. We got you a farewell gift, give me a second ill go get it.
She rushed upstairs and came back down with a beautifully wrapped parcel in her hands. She handed it to her with a grin and signaled her to open it. She untied the ribbon and gently unwrapped the parcel to reveal a beautiful white ballerina dress. She let out a low gasp as she registered the elegance of the dress. It was made of delicate material that seemed to slip through her hands. She had always wanted something like this but had been rather unsuccessful in her repeated attempts and had finally resorted to a light purple colored one.
Shakti- oh my god, where did you guys find this. This is just what I wanted. God knows I've searched like crazy for something like this but I never found it. Whenever I asked for something like this id be shown one of the numerous conventional ones.
mukti- oh don't even ask how we got it, it was a mammoth task but we managed. After all I always knew you wanted it and it's the least we both could do.
She smiled but at the same time she felt tears whelm up in her eyes. She didnt know what she'd done to deserve this but she knew if she was told that she'd get sisters like them shed do it a hundred times over. She pulled them both into a tight hug and unhappily letting go on hearing that taxi honk again. Trust the taxis of Mumbai to ruin the perfect moment but she'd never be able to manage without them.
She climbed into the taxi which set off giving her just enough time to bid farewell to her house for the following three months. Damn she was going to miss her sisters, not only them but everyone Alisha, vinti, sneha, shantanu each and everyone, they had almost become family to her now but she knew that the person shed miss most would be amar. They had been good friends in did and had even performed together a no. of times, so when she got the opportunity to work with him again in d3 she welcomed it with open arms never expecting even for a second that this decision would make her eventually fall in love and also break her heart. Before she even had a proper chance to realize the eyelocks had ceased to be a laughter riot and she actually felt herself getting lost in those deep, endless eyes, the romantic scenes they shared when she could feel his heart right beside hers and his hot breath on her neck would leave her breathless wit goose bumps all over her body. It seemed amazing how everything he did had suddenly started making such a difference in her life. When she finally realized that she was in love she could barely contain her excitement. She was not one to hide such things and so she decided to say it all, confess her feelings to amar. She barely slept that night the wait for the coming morning seeming unbearably long.
She was one of the first to reach the set that day and had made herself comfortable on one of the chairs and had started reading the script that had been handed to her by one of the spot boys. Nearly two hours later almost everyone was there on the set and it was buzzing with activity but the one she had been waiting for was nowhere to be seen. She was just about to go ask palki about his whereabouts when he entered. She went up to him in order to get to talk to him alone but before she could do that he said that he had an announcement to make.
Amar- guys I want you to meet Charlie, my new girlfriend
She stopped in her tracks when she heard that. It was as if someone had ripped her heart into two. How had she not seen that coming, amar had one of the biggest female fan base and he was bound to have a girlfriend sooner or later, she was just a friend to him and nothing else. She had never known what a heartbreak was before but if it was this she could completely sympathize with all those people who'd have them. She felt her eyes fill up with tears and she knew that seeing her cling to amar in that possessive manner and everybody congratulating them she wouldn't be able to control herself. She ran towards her changing room and closed the door behind her. Not able to hold herself any longer she collapsed to the floor those tears becoming unstoppable now flowed relentlessly down her cheeks. Ten minutes later she heard a knock on the door and trying her best to orient herself again she opened the door with a fake smile plastered to her face, it was one of the spot boys sent by palki to call her for the shot. She nodded signaling him to leave and after taking a deep breath to settle the turmoil within herself she headed after him.
As the taxi jerked to a stop she realized that she was already at the airport. She had a fresh set of tears like she always did after thinking about the events of that day and cursed herself for it. She quickly payed the taxi fare and entered the airport.

It had been crazy that day and they had been shooting without a break since eight in the morning. Today shaks was going to New York, things seemed so different without her, the show felt incomplete but he couldn't stop the nagging feeling telling him that with her gone he was more incomplete than the show. She had always been around for him when he needed her, always listening patiently and helping him out with all his problems. He missed how they used to rehearse together and the way they would crack up ever so often. The new girl vrindaa was okay, she had received so much critism that he felt sorry for her, but there was no way she could ever replace shaks who had seemed to create a space for herself in the hearts of the million d3 viewers. And finally the day had come when she was leaving for New York, he knew she had always dreamed of this and he was truly happy for her but before she left he felt he must see her face to face. He didn't know why he wanted that, it wasn't as if she was his girlfriend that he had to go and say goodbye to her one last time before seeing her go but he couldn't resist it. He glanced at his watch and saw it was eleven thirty, shaktis flight was at ten minutes past twelve so if he made a dash for it he might be able to make it on time. He quickly made his way up to the car and was just about to start the engine when he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He took it out to and saw that there was a message from Charlie asking if he wanted to go out for dinner, he quickly texted her that he wouldn't be able to make it and switched off his phone in order to avoid the volcano of anger he had just stirred up. He started the engine and set off in the direction of the airport.
Shakti had finished with her security check and was now in the lounge with her co passengers waiting for the flight to arrive. She could not help but think that this opportunity had come to her at the perfect time providing her a way to escape the torture of seeing Charlie and amar spending time together on sets. She wasn't one to run away from problems but lately with her becoming a frequent feature on the sets being there was becoming next to impossible. She checked her watch, it was nearly eleven thirty, and the shoot would have probably gotten over by now. Should she call up amar? She really wanted to speak to him once before leaving. She decided to go ahead with it and dialed his no. but it was switched off. She gave a sad smile, maybe it was just another signal that she and amar were never going to be together. He would probably have been spending quality time with Charlie right now so his phone was switched off. She texted him a brief goodbye not letting her inner turmoil reflect in it. Ten minutes later an announcement was made for all the passengers of her flight to proceed for the security check. She got up, switched off her phone, picked up her bags and made her way towards it with the rest of the passengers.
Damn he was late. That was expected but how could he have stopped his hopes from getting high and now he was going to face the brunt as they came crashing down. It seemed as if god was playing a sadistic joke with him. But why did it matter so much to him that he couldn't see Shakti one last time before she left, that he was not the last one to bid her farewell. It was something he had never felt before for anyone, it was like a desperation, a need. He had even refused Charlie's offer for dinner in spite of knowing that he'd most probably miss it. then why had he done it. did shaks mean more to him than Charlie did? But how could that be, Charlie was his girlfriend and shaks had always just bee his good friend. Or had she? This was certainly not how you felt for a friend but did that mean that she was more than a friend to him? Did he have feelings for her? How had so many questions even me into his mind from nowhere? He had never felt this confused before. He thought back to the time he had spent with her. Fate seemed to put them together always, and she had become someone whom he could always depend on, he could share even his deepest secrets with her, something he hadn't even done with Charlie and her presence always seemed comforting. She had a warmth around her that pulled him towards her making him want to spend more and more time with her. And he already missed her terribly. It was as if somebody had snatched a part of him away from him leaving an emptiness that nobody could fill. Did that mean he loved her? He closed his eyes and took a deep breath and the answer came to him automatically,. Yes! Yes he loved her and he hadn't even realized it till now! And now she was gone he would have to wait those three long months for her, as much as the wait seemed long he knew he would do it, but before that there was something else more important to do that would probably result in severe damage to his ears thanks to the yelling that would follow on her side- a breakup with Charlie
