Why do I watch the show?

Two words - Mohit Raina! 😃

Secondary reasons also include -

1. The production values/big sets

2. Loved the music and dance in the Sati era. Hope there's more of that in Parvati's story, but maybe not :(

3. I'm attracted to the concept of Shiva - the wild outsider who is actually the most powerful one, as presented in DKDM.

4. Sometimes, the CVs come up with wonderful dialogues when discussing non-milan and non-tarakasur stuff. I enjoy the discussions on theology, vairagya etc etc.

But as I said, mainly for Mahadev Raina :D

i started catching up wid show whn Mahadev became Jata...I was aware of rewamp of Starone and mouni as Sati but held back the curiosity as I didnt get time to watch whn the serial began...I am always eager to watch any mytho but unfortunately didnt ever get time to cont it due to studies😡...Abt Mahadev its connected to our Isht-dev ...also didnt ever heard or watched in any mytho "Love Story"of Mahadev-Sati except self-immolation part...and yes CVs abilities of moulding the stories their own way is similar where TRPs are concerned...yes but beyond that pt.I still manage to watch in a ray of hope that they might show unsual(purely which is linked to purans) which other shows havnt managed to show us so far..as this PD has given us some fantastic episeg.Parvati's jagruti of kundalini n all,Veerbhadra,Bhairav,Dakshinamurti,etc...and yes as woman most amazing thing the costumes n all...😆

Phew...quite long essay..😆..but yeah m in favour of creating a slight masala in name of creativity which is unavoidable for the CVs though but to a certain limit where tampering to purans is not done.

Sorry for the late reply mira..😳 anyway..heres the main point..I began watching the serial initially only because I'm a huge fan of Devdutt Pattanaik and have read most of his works. When they mentioned that the show was primarily based on his research I just couldnt help but watch the show. Then gradually I began loving Mohit for his acting (and ofcourse looks😆) and mouni too!😳 But now..without beating around the bush.. i'm watching it only for the sake of seeing whether the CVs take the pains to stick to atleast one fact... I know for a fact that hardly anything is based on Pattanaik's work now🤢.. I still have some hope left ( How stupid of me).. lets just wait and watch..

P.S- about creative 'license'..it's to be used and not abused..and the CVs have successfully opted for the latter.. in other words.. Creative license ne vaat laga di show ki..and i'm hating it 🤢

I agree 100% 🤣

I said why I started watching. One of the reasons I didn't mention was that I started with DKDM after yet another soap I was watching became tooo OTT for words. I decided that I would never watch another Hindi soap again (famous last words? 😆 we'll see!)

I really thought I couldn't go wrong with a mythological.

But what did I know? Mytho-soap karke ek naya genre ban rahaa hai...😕

regular soap, but with VFX...😆

I'm sooo disappointed right now. 😡

PS: Also admire Devdutt Pattnaik...it's a travesty that his name appears in the opening credits.

Why Did I watch Devon Ke Dev...

It was love at first sight.

I fell in love with the opening scene. Remember Shiiiva Shiiva and then scene from Kailash. It sounded so mysterious.

Shiv Ji is a mysterious Devta of the Trinity. He is like the rebel God with awesome powers. I did not know he had a softer side, this show showed it remarkably well in the begining. Mohit totally looks the part. I mean he totally rocks the look.

Then for the first time I heard Shiv and Sati. Never even knew there was a Sati.

Everthing was going blissfully till the scene where Sati yells at Mahadev after Mahadev put Chandrama on his head and called sati ayougia. That is when I started having doubts about the story. Till this point I was thinking everything shown in the show was correct with small emblishments.

I mean first in the show they say Sati is sarabgunsampan. A sarabgunsampan girl in Satyug has to be very accomplished. Then how can she behave like a kalyug teenager. The story kept on unraveling after that when they kept to showing Sati making mistake after mistake and later apologizing with the starting line, "Mein kitni moorkh thi."

No matter still kept on watching because I liked the actors. Best one has to be Daksh. Surinder Pal totally made me hate him. I mean the expression at the Sati immolation, I wanted to punch him in the face to wipe the expressions off. Every single actor played their part so well. Narad Ji was also one of the best. I think he is the best Narad I have seen so far on TV

Then there were nugets of wishdom from Mahadev (few and far between ), the lines he said about environment before the Mahamandal meeting etc.

Rest the sets and computer graphics were very good. I think this show has started a new trend and we will have more mytho shows with better graphic, cooler looking asurs, and rakhshahas etx

The best part is show made me want to know more of the tridev and dakash. Before this show I hadn't even heard of prajapatis, sapat rishis, manu etc.

So all in all the show increased my knowledge
