DKDM has an awesum cast, brilliant music and a good narrative-its a mythological show with a twist..i guess thats why many people started watching the show in the first place!

however i think that they shouldnt take thier creativity to far-many of these stories are those we have heard as children,and distorting them is bound to upset people!

When they took deviations for the Sati story-it didnt really matter cos there was scope for creativity there...however for the Parvati story,there is enough matter on her available,and they should stay in limits of that..when people(the general audience) watches a mythological they watch it for content-i dont think id want people to know Parvati as a roti dhoti heroine...i understand thier objective of adding masala but they shouldn't forgo he story for that...that too when the audience is well versed with the orignal stories its endings etc,they shouldnt put too much creativity in it to distort the actual story!

dat's what i said shruti.dere's a limit 2 even fiction and creative liberty.dey added fiction in sati's story bcoz hardly anybody knew abt her except 4 da fact dat she was shiv's first wife and gave up her life by jumping into da yagya kunda but many ppl know parvati's story so dey shd not try 2 change da mythology or i will say,God's destiny.😆

Vow ya very lively Topic and every one is having a long story to support it

it can be made archive when little bit more organised . Because Every show needs its applauds always on the first note .

I am first not interested in any of Life Ok channels shows , the last show i have watched is Geet that too not regularly (I am sick for any regular schedules even to adopt tv shows ). the only show i have watched fully is Ramayan new one. I prefer Books and text most of the times .Because of less show based on mythos .

But when switching every channel , i just struck by Mouni 's performance and shivji's entry was mind blowing, so I planned to watch it . I like sati personally for her haughty nature 😆, i donno why i cant found more information about her ,so this show become the apple of my eye that time. Since i am already having the habit of visiting If ,I found this Forum so cool and friendly people around .No other forum has these kind of interactive polite natured DTs.

The show is having all the credits like BG Music awesome

The special effects

and the Actors are pretty Worthful to portrait every character on its shade.

I loved the story of Shiv - Sati .

I never knew Shiv was such a moody fellow as described here, he is lively vibrant one always . When every devatas are screaming ,he used to give naughty replies and apart form God himself ,he used to entertain every one with his dance performance. Even a Kid can call him to ask anything .He is a good dancer ,singer ,crafter , administrator and Teacher for every one .

Though i started to know new things about shivji form the show ,but i landed by knowing all the terms and informations from our forum members( MInakshi and others) 😆.Thanks to every one who patiently replied me.

Any way i thank them for taking such a Script for a Tv Soaps in this fast age ,where every one is heading fast by romance , action and masala items .

I appreciate them for that whole heartily👏

So know more about Shiv Visually , i too decided to watch Om Namah Shivay Online

why do i watch Mahadev? Ummm ...may be i will start by re-framing the question...why did i start watching Mahadev... now for that the answer is ready...coz i was faacinated with the preentation of Shivji... not just the actor, who is superb, but the characterisation...
Okay i am a die hard fan of Romance ... my english professor Sis teases that i haven't graduated from romance nd M&B... so i did start watching the show only after i caught a snatch of the love of Sati nd Mahadev while it was towards the culmination...i went back to the old episodes on You tube...
i love mythology...i remember not missing an episode of Mahabharata ..About Ramayan i have my reservations...and didn't see the NDTV version.
being a christian, Shivji is the Hindu God I respect the most (sorry if this offends anyone ) and i have never watched a story on him.
i have read abt Shiv- Sati - Parvathy of course...but not with indepth knowledge...so DKDM is certainly very informative...may be it has been giving me wrong informations too ..which i get to know thru the forum.😃...soi can't say much about creative liberty ...only that a little bit of tweaking is permitted unless it distorts the story or the images we tend to hold abt each character..
still i had thought Shivji to be "quick to temper and quick to please" ...also he seemed arrogance personified in Amar Chitra kadhas especially in tales associated with him nd Parvathy... So the mature presentation of Mahadev who seemed so indifferent to personal insults and who understood matters from other people's point of view came as a welcome surprise...
i had always felt that Shiv- Parvathy was the epitome of married couples... Ahh my favour of M&B surface😳... both strong willed but complimenting each other... and somehow the concept of Parvathy being the only one to soothe Mahadev entered my mind...was it the influence of the concept of tandava nd laasya😕
So the present track is a shocker for me... which to me projects over importance to the love story of Shiv - sati...what was it, one or the other character from the time of Sati entering the period of Parvathy giving her ideas and instructions to get back Mahadev...too much
the blood drenched rudraksh especially...like GOD cudn't recognise the reincarnation of his consort and needed to be reminded of the memory of his love for her in the last birth ...
am i digressing?
OK let me stop...but got to say this i am happy that mahadev has woken from his self imposed samadhi😉

😆I am a silent viewer of this forum but this post compelled me to reply😆

I absolutely love mythological soaps,I used to avidly watch OM NAMAH SHIVAY ,i think i was 8-9 then,i think ONS was quite nicely executed ,even the graphics were applaudable considering it was aired on dd1 .

When I first saw dkd promos,D first thing that allured me was the graphics which were so refreshingly different and advanced than the other mythos.

Then I started watching it much later(Since I was occupied with my semesters) and found the shiv-sati pair very relatable and humane.I had reservations about mouni playing sati but they were cast aside once I watched her on the show.And I must admit MOHIT IS THE BEST SHIV OF ALL TIMES.PERIOD.He is the best actor of television right now,according to me.I can never forget the anguish and pain he displayed after sati's death,that expression of a wounded lion screaming amidst fire was the best thing that I have seen recently on tv,not to forget his rudra avatar.The success of DKD has to be attributed to Mohit.

Coming to Parvati,I am totally besotted with SONARIKA BHADORIA,She is stunningly beautiful,her tigress-like eyes makes her apt for the role.Hope the cv's make yer yogya for the role,I loved the woman who potrayed Parvati in Om namah Shivay,She got the nerve of the character spot on,Parvati is not supposed to cry like a soap opera queen ,nor beg in front of shiva,Parvati is ADI SHAKTI,manifestation of prakriti,the ultimate power of the Universe,She is even stronger than shiva as many scriptures suggest,She is the dominating force ,Sonarika should have fire in her eyes,her dialougue delivery is childish,the cv's should work on that ASAP.And often I am saddened (most of the times amused) by the grotesque creative liberties that the cvs are taking😛😃😆

Why do I watch DKDM?

The initial promos were good, 1st epi was v. good, the music is owesome. They had recreated that era though amazing visual effects. Was enough to pull me to watch it every day.To me Shivji- Sati's story was more exciting then Shivji- Parvati, because of the mystry involved in it. Sati's story is given max in Devi Purana compared to other Puranas. Knowing her Dasha Mahavidya forms was enough to make me pull towards this show with the added advantage of Shivji's various forms shown, doing some R & D have always resulted in gaining some good knowledge, be it Mytho or Occult Sciences or Astrology.

I have enjoyed discovering various aspects shown in the show in as much detail as I can, based on my learning, reading, experience. So I can proudly say, Yes I do see Spirituality in some aspect of this show.

My past experience in another Mytho show has taught me not to go on ranting when some thing out of the Purana's story is shown. It only hurts seeing such depiction of representatives of my faith. While watching this show I never have any expectations so it's easy to ignore what doesn't appeal & appreciate what seems good.

I seriously hope Shivji- Parvati's phase is shown properly.
