Why Did I watch Devon Ke Dev...
It was love at first sight.
I fell in love with the opening scene. Remember Shiiiva Shiiva and then scene from Kailash. It sounded so mysterious.
Shiv Ji is a mysterious Devta of the Trinity. He is like the rebel God with awesome powers. I did not know he had a softer side, this show showed it remarkably well in the begining. Mohit totally looks the part. I mean he totally rocks the look.
Then for the first time I heard Shiv and Sati. Never even knew there was a Sati.
Everthing was going blissfully till the scene where Sati yells at Mahadev after Mahadev put Chandrama on his head and called sati ayougia. That is when I started having doubts about the story. Till this point I was thinking everything shown in the show was correct with small emblishments.
I mean first in the show they say Sati is sarabgunsampan. A sarabgunsampan girl in Satyug has to be very accomplished. Then how can she behave like a kalyug teenager. The story kept on unraveling after that when they kept to showing Sati making mistake after mistake and later apologizing with the starting line, "Mein kitni moorkh thi."
No matter still kept on watching because I liked the actors. Best one has to be Daksh. Surinder Pal totally made me hate him. I mean the expression at the Sati immolation, I wanted to punch him in the face to wipe the expressions off. Every single actor played their part so well. Narad Ji was also one of the best. I think he is the best Narad I have seen so far on TV
Then there were nugets of wishdom from Mahadev (few and far between ), the lines he said about environment before the Mahamandal meeting etc.
Rest the sets and computer graphics were very good. I think this show has started a new trend and we will have more mytho shows with better graphic, cooler looking asurs, and rakhshahas etx
The best part is show made me want to know more of the tridev and dakash. Before this show I hadn't even heard of prajapatis, sapat rishis, manu etc.
So all in all the show increased my knowledge
