----
Watching the serial in the utube and also in the internet is against the ethics of the media industry as it is like software piracy. There are some free evalutation allowed in both industry but please watch in a paid cable media /internet media going forward.

Yes, Channel was sure that TRPs will suffer and are prepared for the outbreaks of mass hysteria. They have sacked many in the past so I'm sure they know abt the viewers and what happens when a popular and loved member is replace (old is gold). I'm surprised to see SNS still in the TRP race.😲 😕

----
Again, this risk is not needed for SP/PH. They should have handled the situation more professionally.
In any industry, abrupt departure of lead personnel will create scar in the corporate image. Again, Scar can be fixed depending on your user base but in media effect will take days/years to settle.
I am also surprised to see they are in TRP race may be next few weeks, we will more better picture.
May be we can argue that TRP is not at all important but the industry use as a metrics to push the advertisemnet money. I am sure, both advertisements and also sales department will feel the pain.
May be they have milked the cow and hence they may think, it is ok to kill your own brand.
Well, I'm reminded of rupee's fortune & misfortune story. In 2007 when the dollar was weak at one point it was Rs35 to a dollar & unfortunately I was on an assignment in India then...omg every tom dick & harry came to my cube to discuss the misfortune of dollar and sympathized at my net worth going down lol. And today we are at Rs. 58 to a dollar.
----
I do not understand, what is your trying to get to? can you ask you simple question? Every thing went sky high in the recent years. so, i do not see, 57 a dollar is a big deal.

But economics isn't a morality play, nor is the rupee's decline a parable that can be used here but I just felt like mentioning that it would be wrong to pin the cause of low TRP only on the replacement. There are many other factors that govern the TRPs. It is indeed a form of cosmic justice according to few but the reality is very different. SP is not ruled by any particular show and precisely actor. 😛

---
I disagree on low TRP. TRP is an industry norm, if you are not doing ok, it is SP/PH should correct or they will pay for it. Big corporate have gone bankrupt because of bad decision, arrogant and ego management. If they do not correct it, they will be corrected or they will go out of business.
i know, you should n't be people dependent but in reality, we humanbeings appreciate good team, good car, good sportsman , good product etc... so, SP may be big, customer will win. eventually, we are all paying for it. (not you .. may be you are watching in youtube)
However, the show is still a good one for me . Even without Gohem "chemistry" 😛. I am still enjoying the wonderfully insane escapism...I'm sure there are few like me who'll let SNS run its full course.

it is your opinion. Best of luck and enjoy your day

Galebi, Polls In India never give the real results. I had done my project in Mumbai & had conducted a TV poll hours before Sania Mirza's fourth round match against Maria Sharapova in the US Open and a full 82 per cent taking part in the poll predicted a Mirza victory. In another poll, 55 per cent felt Sharapova would be under greater pressure than Mirza.😛
But the score for the one-sided match that followed was shocking but sad truth for Mirza. But there was little doubt that it was an unequal contest, and at no stage did anything other than a Sharapova win look likely. Yet, Indians had convinced themselves that a Mirza win was on the cards.

Poll results will be... Emotional Indians wishful thinking 😃

Thanks for the insight on the polls 5cents. I had a feeling that high emotions played a huge part, and you used a good example 😊

Cool OP.

Too many uncertainties to know the full story behind the story. Too many unknowns. Giaa, PH, SP. Each with their own version of what happened and why it happened.

But at the end of the day SP is a business. They don't think with emotions like we do. They will do what is good for SP and damn the world. Such is life. Foolish to believe otherwise.

Other thing to note. People are very fickle. Today SNS is their life. Tomorrow IPPKND is. So whilst people may stop watching SNS. They are not going to tune out of SP... and if SP put out a dynamite serial in 6 months time everyone will flock to watch... SNS won't even be remembered.

Agreed that the complete truth cannot be deciphered from the story. There's a saying that "There are three sides to a story... person/party A's side, person/party B's side, and the truth 😛".

Viewers are indeed fickle. It's easy to change one's interests quickly when there are so many shows out there. SP also offers a variety of very popular shows from IPK to EHM to DABH, so there's no way it'll be tuned out.
Also, viewers easily forget. People rarely talk about Bidaai (ended less than a year ago) or Kyun Ki (second longest running serial) anymore. What usually matters is the present. Like you said, if SP puts out a dynamite serial, SNS, and anything related to it, is out of memory.

@everyone: I'm glad to see this topic was interesting 😊 Thank you for the comments!
