Shiv seemed to have kicked the closet that caused a loud commotion in the room. Anandi , who was startled looked towards Shiv's direction and found him smiling at her, but something was different about him
Click Click…
Anandi clicking her fingers in front of shiv as if trying to wake him up from a trance. She noticed a silly smile on his face glaring towards the opposite side of the wall.
Collector sahab… aap teekh hain? she asked but no response
Collector sahab.. she called again again no response…
This time she touched his shoulders slightly patting it…
as if he got a jolt of 100 watts, shiv shook and in the process knocked over Anandi who almost fell but was supported by Shiv.
Shiv looked at Anandi who was now in his arms with her eyes closed as if to avoid a fall. The hair strand, which he had imagined earlier on, her face was back on her face again. He moved closer to remove it but was suddenly given a slight push by Anandi who had tried to stand up.
Anandi looked extremely uncomfortable and without a word she walked out of the room.
Ye kya kiya thumnay shiv! Anandiji abh kya sochengi! mujhe unkay peechay jana hoga.
Shiv hurriedly put on his shirt but just then Lal singh had entered.
Anandi kahan gayi? he asked
Mujhe nahi malon said shiv with a stern face. He did not want him to think that something he had done might have driven Anandi away.
Lal singh wrote a prescription and handed it to shiv who then thanked him and walked out.
He walked towards the corridor of the hospital hurriedly looking towards right and left hoping to find Anandi. He then found her walking towards the door when Abhishekh called her name
Anandiji
Shiv rushed towards Anandi to join her in the conversation.
Anandi who had noticed him coming towards her had turned her face away and looked at Abhisheikh.
Anandiji , Asha nay ghar per dawat rakhi hai aur aapko aamantran denay ko kaha tha.
Lal singh who was also walking towads the collector , joined them and said,
aap apna purse bhul gaye thay kamre main.
Oh thank you Doctor! Shiv said, absentmindedly thinking about who Asha might be.
Maine Dr. Laal singh ko aur unki patni ko bhi amantrit ker diya hai. Tho aap please apnay puray parivar kay saat padhariye.
As soon as shiv heard the word Patni , his whole body relaxed as if it just was drenched in cool water.
Abhishekh turned towards Shiv and said,
aap bhi humaray ghar aayiye. Humay bohot acha lagega.
Shiv hesitated and said: ye aapkay ghar ki baat hai, main kiyun beech main…..
but Abhishek cut in
Aap jetsar ke liye ithna ker rahe hain tho aap bhi humaray hi parivar ke hue. It will be our pleasure.
Shiv who was beyond happy was only too glad to oblige, but he noticed the silence besides him.
He looked at Anandi who he noticed was avoiding his gaze and he felt as if someone had let out the air from the balloon that had emerged earlier in his heart.
Without a word he then walked away.
