Naah, you can talk Tamil movies all you want. 😆 At any rate, Shruti & Minakshi rule here, so they'll be the judge of that 😆 Maybe Minakshi can ding you if she doesn't like your opinions on your fav stars 😈

Its not about fav stars, its a famous and well liked joke in Tamil Cinema. The scene opens with a Village Panchayat gathering and the village head is chewing something (betel leaves or something like that). The comedian (Vadivelu, I think) says "Naatamai, theerpai maathi sollu" - meaning change (and declare) the verdict when the Panchayat head spits out what he's chewing and replies "I haven't even declared my verdict, you idiot!" This sentence is often used as a joke by youngsters - mostly to tease ridiculous verdicts and decrees. No offense please, its just a friendly joke 😳

In today's episode, Himavan while discussing Shiva w/ Parvati made a passing reference to the promise he had given the Vindya ruler, and how he had to reverse it due to Vishnu's request.

Seeing that, it looked like Sumedha's merchant not-to-be hubby was the equivalent of Vindya-raj, rather than Mahadev. Essentially, Himavan set a benchmark that it's okay to make promises regarding one's minor children and then renege on them if circumstances dictate. A somewhat bizarre thing for any shastras to be touching

I really am losing it with this series. I can handle twists in the story as long as they don't mar the true nature of the characters or degrade them. This series seems to be very fond of portraying weakness in everyone and all sorts of wrong ideas 😡

Perhaps Himavan and Mena Devi were watching Balika Vadhu just before passing this judgement ?😆
