Shyam & his Unrequited Love

First of all, all ArHi die-hard fans, this probably won't interest you😆
Secondly, look at my avi <---- yes, he is judging you, now you may leave...
BUT .. I'm a die-hard ArHi fan too so what gives?

Anyway, everyone is swooning over the Arnav and Khushi Teri Meri dream sequence ...

But CVs deserve credit for reviving THE Shyam Manohar Jha.
Every brilliant story needs an equally brilliant antagonist. A gripping villain, one we hate but secretly love.
One the we recoil at when they enter the screen but begrudgingly credit because well they're evil and sometimes brillaint.

I love IPKKND not only because of Arnav and Khushi but because there is no saree-clad, make-up painted Komolika type evil female villain/aunty.. it's Shyam.
Cunning, deceiving, frustrating but brilliant "daiya ho" 🤣 I love his background tracks!

Somewhere along the way Shyam lost the maniacal villainous tag BUT he's back, momentarily for now.

I loved his poolside scene where that obsessed, determined, delusional Shyam Manoha Jha returned - that flashback of when he first met Khushi, when she innocently glanced at him triggering that zest in him to want her again, madly and crazily. Epically delusional.
This new "side" of Khushi only fuelling that fire inside him more, wanting to give her everything eh thinks she wants, money, power and revenge. Abhas and CVs! Kudos!👏

This is above and all the story of Arnav and Khushi, love/hate, passion/tension, captivating and arresting but Shaym has been paramount to it.
He's always played the uninitiated cupid in their relationship.😆

Just like today. I loved how Shyam laid it out to Khushi, I've given you "boundless love" whilst he's (Arnav) only given you "hate" (not enitrely true but almost 70% true) yet Khushi only loves Arnav.

His words having no effect on her because Khushi realised a long time ago, no matter how much hate is in their relationship - she loves Arnav.

I seriously pity Shyam because unrequited love undoubtedly sucks
He deserves it though, he's a royal idiot and I recoil every time he goes "twitchy and creepy" on Khushi. (Forgetting his maybe a tad overbearing but lovely wife Anjali)
But I do pity him.
So delusional! But so evil!👏

Does he want money as he thinks that will impress Khushi and will win her over, or does he want Khushi and then get money to pamper her and give her a life of luxury?

The lines are always blurred with him, you can never tell what he prefers more.

The way Shyam sees the situation is that both he and Arnav are douches in the eyes of Khushi and both have somehow screwed her over in some way. The difference that lies between them is that Shyam has shown nothing but complete adoration for her and Arnav has shown nothing but contempt. So I can get why Shyam is pissed, and I'm glad that the CV's are taking this angle. I LOVE the ongoing comparisons between Shyam/Arnav.

The trustworthy man has been the true rakshas all along, yet the ruthless man has always been mistaken for the rakshas.

Shyam's solo scene by the pool today made me laugh. I was amused by how delusional and creepy he is. Right now, he is buying everything she's selling. I guess he doesn't think straight when it comes to Khushi...but it makes me fear for her in the future, when he finds out she was faking it.

I never want him to leave the show because it will be incomplete without him. He's probably the most important character after Khushi and Arnav. I wonder if there is any way his character can be redeemed. Since the PH really loves Abhaas, there is hope...or he can just be the villain forever.

Ditto to everything you've written before, I always wonder if he can be redeemed too ... I think somewhere along the way they lost track of his character but I remember in some of the initial episodes he used to be brilliant. Slipping and out of so many masks, putting on facades and fooling everyone.

I loved his and Anjali's anniversary episode where he gifts Anjali and for a second it really does seem like he does love her but then a few seconds after he imagines Khushi in Anjali's place and that maniacal, obsessive side of his surfaces. Now that's multi-faceted character!
Abhas is brilliant! But yeah he's so evil but delusional its funny but you can't help pity him!

Adoration vs. Contempt.

That glint of hope from yesterday reawakening his mad obsession for her all over again!
That Shyam scene was superb, yes poolside is ArHi's but it still worked.

One thing I love particularly is how Khushi isn't only directing her *fake* anger and revenge towards Arnav but to Shyam too. Smart move by the CVs or else had it gone the promo way with Khushi begging for forgiveness it would of seemed feeble and stupid!
