Part 29
"Meenakshi...i have already called Dr Das ...she must be on her way..." Kamini shouted from Chandni's room...
"alright mom...just let me know when Dr Das comes...i am leaving now..." Meenakshi picked up her bag and left...
Chandni felt weak... "God knows whose evil eye fell on you..." Kamini said while checking her fever...
Kamla came with a small glass filled with some ayurvedic syrup made by Kamini...
Chandni felt like vomiting again... "no...i can't drink this...its horrible..."
"Chandni you have to drink to get better..." Kamini hold the glass close to her mouth...
Chandni stared at her Grandmother "please Grandma...spare me from this drink...i can't '."
she couldn't speak and rushed to the bathroom...

"but Kaka if we are starting a tea estate...then we must have some knowledge of its working..." Veer answered...
Kaka was surprised to see Veer's dedication "but how will you get experience yourself??? I mean how can this be possible???"
"it is easy...i must work with someone who is running a successful tea estate in Darjeeling" Veer replied with a smirk...as if he knew where he wants to work and what he wants to do...
"that's a good idea...but how can you work...?? I mean you have such a big empire and working under someone..." Kaka thought '..
While Veer smiled "Kaka...its just a matter of experience...once I get a complete knowledge I can run this tea estate very nicely...right now I don't have that experience and guidance..."
Veer looked at Kaka who was thinking about Veer's idea... "do you know someone...who can help you??"
Veer smiled "yes"

"She's in the bathroom..." Kamini said to Dr Das... "you please have a seat...i am so worried for her..."
Chandni came outside...she looked pale... "Chandni...darling what happened?? you look so weak..." Dr Das asked her to lay on the bed until she does her checkup...
After some time...
"Chandni I am writing some medicines...you need complete rest..." Dr Das took out her pad...
Kamini looked at Dr Das "but what has happened to her??"
"oh nothing Kamini aunty...she has viral infection...don't worry I have written some medicines and please make sure she eats on time and no stress for her..." Dr Das looked at Chandni "just relax...it seems you are stressing over something... I will leave now...you take care"
After Dr Das left...Kamini gave her the medicines... she fell asleep after some time...

"May I come in?" Veer knocked at the door...
Meenakshi looked up and gave a broad smile "what a pleasant surprise...please come in Veer...how are you??"
"very well thanks...i want a favor Maam" he said politely...
"firstly please stop calling me maam...you can all me aunty..." Meenakshi heard her phone '. "excuse me Veer"
"yes mom...how is Chandni now??" Meenakshi asked worriedly...
Veer looked at Meenakshi while she was talking on the phone...
"that's alright...now please ask Chandni to rest...i will call later bye" Meenakshi kept the phone...
"yes Veer...you were saying something" she asked '..
Veer thought something "what happened??? is Chandni..."
"nothing serious...its just a viral infection...she will be alright..." Meenakshi smiled '.

Maneka had been waiting for Chandni who completely forgot to inform her... finally she called her on her phone but it was switched off... "oh Chandni where are you??"
she thought of going to her place, but that was too far from the town...another instant she thought about her mother who must be in the town...she went towards her building...

"i would be more than happy to support you Veer...i am glad you are taking so much interest..." Meenakshi asked her secretary to show Veer around as he would be joining them from tomorrow...
"hello aunty..." Meenakshi heard Maneka at the door...
"come in beta...how are you..." she hugged Meenakshi...
Maneka looked at the handsome man sitting next to her... Veer smiled at her "hello"
Maneka took a deep breath...her eyes had never seen such a striking personality before... "hi"
Meenakshi looked at Maneka who seemed nervous "Maneka '...this is Veer...and Veer this is Maneka Chandni's best friend"
Maneka was stunned...she couldn't imagine it was Veer...Chandni loved him no wonder...anyone could fall in love with him...his princely look made her gaze at him...with attractive features he looked at her and smiled again...
Meenakshi asked her again "Maneka...what happened???"
"oh...yes aunty...i wanted to meet Chandni...and she hasn't come today...can you please take me with you...you know the bus service is not so good...and"
"but Maneka...i am going home in the evening...wait I can ask the driver if he can drop you" she dialed a no...
"I can drop her...anyway I am heading off to Kurseong...it will be on the way..." Veer said immediately...
Meenakshi smiled "oh thanks Veer...that would be really appreciating..."

Maneka happily jumped in his car...
Veer started driving... Maneka glanced at him, then looked outside the window... she thought Chandni would be so lucky to have him in her life...
for one moment she completely forgot that she was engaged to Rohan... she looked at his strong hands moving the stirring of the car... he had such a splendid personality that any girl in the world would fall for him...
the cycle of her dreams stopped when he parked the car in the drive way...
"we have reached" Maneka said sadly...
Veer thought of leaving... "you aren't coming to see your girlfriend??" Maneka asked smilingly...
Veer smiled and came closer to her face "i will...but at night" he said and left...
Maneka stood still for a minute...thinking about what he had said... she smiled and walked inside...

"Hi Chandni..." Maneka came in while Chandni was drowsy...the medicines were strong...
"guess what...i have seen your prince charming today..." Maneka started telling her story...
Chandni's eyes widened "what??? prince charming??? whom are you talking about??"
"how many do you have??? Veer...who else...oh Chandni...he's so handsome..." Maneka was telling her while Chandni was thinking something else...
"how did he met you???"
Maneka stopped "at you mother's office...you know he dropped me here...and"
"why did he drop you?? and what was he doing at mom's office???" Chandni cut her again...
Maneka irritatingly answered back "i don't know...but he's so cute...i"
"i must ask mom" Chandni cut again...
Maneka got up "i came for the assignment...you know the third one...i will return it later..."
Chandni was least bothered and asked her to take it...
Maneka stared at her confused face "Chandni...Veer is so nice and handsome...you are so lucky..."

It was late evening... Chandni had her dinner and medicines...though she was drowsy but she was still thinking about the stone she found and how she saw someone behind Veer...
she was somehow confused whether these two things were related to each other... she must find out soon... but now she has to wait for another three or four days, until she recovers...
She walked in her room and bolted the door...as she turned around "ummm...ummm"
Veer kept his hand on her mouth... "don't scream...its me"
he gazed at her while she glanced around... "what are you doing here???" she asked angrily...
"how are you?" he smiled...
she wanted to burst her anger at him "well I am good...now you please go"
"I will go"...he saw a glass filled with the ayurvedic syrup that Kamini had kept for Chandni... he felt thirsty and thought it to be water...he had a sip... "what is it...you started drinking???"
Chandni saw him having a sip from the worst drink she ever tasted...she felt like vomiting... "oh no" she rushed in the bathroom...
he saw this and went after her...
"why are you vomiting??" he asked again...
Chandni wiped her face... "i...i can't drink that horrible syrup and if anyone drinks it I feel like vomiting..."
he slowly touched her shoulder while she was feeling weak... he took her towards the bed...
"it must be sweet drink for you" she said sarcastically...
Veer smiled
"since you are alcoholic...i can assume that..." she remarked angrily...
Veer sat next to her "well honestly...this drink was horrible...but alcohol doesn't taste that bad..."
"really...then you must go and drink...why do you come here???"
"well I always drink when I come here...don't you know that" he said casually...
"disgusting Veer...i hate you...now please leave..." she said while shifting herself a little far from him...
"this bed isn't so big..." he came closer...the medicines were making her drowsy... slowly she lay on the bed... "now you please...go..."
but instead of leaving he climbed over her... ... "Chandni..." he whispered...while she could hear him...
she saw his lips coming closer to hers...she wanted to stop him...to shout at him...but something stopped her...she had given up for a moment...her body seemed weak and tired...she didn't wanted to move away anymore... it seemed he would crush her lips...
she could feel his breath... the closer he came the more scared she felt...but she couldn't push him away... slowly she felt him covering her like a sheet...
It was difficult for Veer to control his feelings for Chandni...he knew she wasn't well and not completely in her senses...he caressed her hair... his fingertips ran over her face and neck... "Chandni...i...i want to kiss you" he whispered in her ear...
her legs could feel his jeans...her hands were on her sides...she lay under him...scared but relaxed...she didn't knew what to say...she closed her eyes and felt his small breaths on her lips...slowly his lips touched and kissed her beautiful lips... it was a small kiss...he was surprised when he felt her hands around his neck...
"Veer..." she said softly... "please... don't do this..."
