Shahid takes a JIBE at Vidya

Sari comment irks Vidya

Balan's sense of style (this was before she embraced designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee's nine yard wonders in earnest) and her expanding waistline, but The Dirty Picture actress has always taken those comments in her stride. In fact, at an award ceremony when Shah Rukh Khan had presented her with an "award" for being the worst dressed actress, she'd given SRK a taste of his own medicine by referring to his tuxedo as a waiter's costume.

But it seems even the good humoured Vidya has her limits. And this was discovered by her former beau Shahid Kapur at the recently concluded Iifa awards in Singapore. Apparently, when Vidya, wrapped in a Masaba Gupta sari, went up on stage to collect her best actress award, Shahid jibed, "Do you buy all your saris at a discounted rate?" Vidya was visibly offended, but chose not to reply.

What seemed to have really hurt Vidya was not the comment itself, but the fact that it came from someone she was extremely close to at one point of time. So will Vidya forgive Shahid for his cheeky comment? We think Sasha should do whatever he can to placate B'wood's only female "hero". .

whatever both actors had said to her was absolutely correct , she always wears those dresses who make her ugly where as in films she prefers to wear those who in real life nobody would like to wear ...

i doubt if she even buys those Saree, i feel as she gets them as a gift from Bappi Da's Wife.

Given their history, she probably felt it was uncalled for. After all, wasn't he the one who had an on-off fling with her, criticised her fashion sense and weight issues through the relationship, and then finally called it off? I remember reading an interview of Vidya wherein she said that she went through a big self-esteem crisis when that happened.
