avantikasharma1 - this is not about rural resistance Anandi re-marrying. They may show that as well. But, I am concerned more about Anandi's internal resistance. She has not said she is not interested in re-marrying. But, she considered the direction of her life at the time she filed for divorce and decided to dedicate herself to Jaitser... she did a contemplative walk around the village, reflected on her future, and that is what she decided to do - work on the betterment of Jaitser. She could have thought about remarriage, but she didn't and still has not. Theory/possibility of remarriage is there - she contemplated/envisioned and made it happen with Asha and long back with Sugna... but, she has not consciously or even unconsciously perceived that for herself. That's why even in her dreams, shiv has no face... mere presence. So, till now she is not even willing to contemplate it in on a subconscious level... forget conscious level. On a conscious level, she is not socially inept - yet she is oblivious to Daadisa's plotting - because she can't contemplate re-marriage yet on a personal level in relation to herself. She can see the Dulha advert for Shiv, but can't see the one for herself that Daadisa is attempting to paint for Shivraj.
Daadisa and Shivraj... will have to work on her internal resistance. It is not a matter of Shiv being a fantastic guy. She knows that. It has to do with her vision of her life and the pain she has hidden within herself.
P.S. - the article is about Daadisa's vision for Anandi's future. Not about Anandi's perspective of her own future. A horse can be taken to water, but cannot be made to drink. Not till the horse is willing. Being free to move on and deciding to move on are related but, different things.
