Canny Kat 'unperturbed' by Ranbir-Deepika tales

Katrina Kaif is not known to lose her poise easily. Even in the most tumultuous times, she is known to remain cool, composed. It may come as no surprise to her followers that the actress, who is now ensconced in Thailand with Salman Khan for Ek Tha Tiger, chooses to sound unperturbed at the rumours of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's unmistakeable camaraderie.

Ranbir, who has been travelling around the country with his former girlfriend for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, has reportedly rekindled a fair bit of their old bond. Their being thrown together for the film was one of the many things that made Sidhartha Mallya uncomfortable.

According to sources from the unit, Ranbir and Deepika are enjoying their stint together. After shooting in Himachal, they shot extensively in Rajashtan. And now they will travel together to Argentina.

All this while, Katrina has been locked up with Kabir Khan's unit, finishing of the last leg of her film. If she is insecure about Ranbir, Kat is definitely not showing it. A friend of the actress told Mirror: "This is typical of Ranbir. He tends to get very attached to his co-stars while shooting. During Rockstar he was so enamoured of Nargis Fakhri that he went around predicting to close friends that she would sweep all the awards. After the film's release he lost interest in her. During Bachna Ae Haseeno he came close to Deepika. But then the inevitable happened."

Going by that logic, there should have been even gossip from the sets of Barfi!, where Ranbir is shooting with both Ileana and Priyanka. But that does not seem to be the case.

Katrina's friends are not reading too much into the Ranbir-Deepika reports. Is it because despite their cultivated denial they are secure in their relationship? As secure as any woman could be in a relationship with Ranbir? "Katrina is in a very happy space now," insists the friend, adding, "She does not care about the mating and dating game any more."
