She believed that Mohan truly loved Rashmi and wanted her back. That is why she wanted him to get married to Rashmi so that he could be happy. It took quite a bit of convincing from Rashmi and Mohan to make Megha believe that Mohan was over Rashmi and actually loved Megha.

For her everything changed after Mohan's "fake" confession at Rashmi's engagement party.

Right! And just to add some more examples to your PT Usha one - 1) the way she stared at his empty chair the next day 2) the way she fondly cleaned his shirt 3) the fact that she took the red rose from him and was okay with it till Amar's name cropped up and most importantly 4) all the flashbacks that she was having of her fond memories with Mohan when she was walking away in the rain.
