Apara Mehta's colourful Kaki will be missing from Zee TV's Saat Phere. The actress will not be seen on the show anymore. Sources claim that Apara is occupied with her play and a new show, which is why she has taken a breather.
Confirming the news about her track coming to an end for the time being, Apara said, "Yes, I won't be shooting for Saat Phere for a while. It's not that I am unhappy with the track, but the story has moved to a stage where I didn't have to be a part of the show." Mehta also cites the reason of her play and the new show with JD Majethia.
Promo shoot
"I have just shot for the promo of JD's show, it should be out soon. My role is totally different from either Savita or Kaki. It's not only a challenge but also very exciting to play this character." But what happens to her role as Kaki? Is this a temporary or a permanent break? "I don't know what will happen at this point. When I joined the show, I was supposed to do some 60 episodes, but I ended up doing more than that."
A source from Saat Phere adds, "Aparaji's entrance on the show made a huge difference. But at the moment we are focusing on some other track. Depending on the rating of the show, we will decide how to get her back and incorporate her in the story."
Currently, Apara is busy shuttling between Mumbai and Baroda. "I am busy with my play, so even though Saat Phere has relieved me, I still don't find enough time on my hand."
Mehta features in Aatish Kapadia and J D Majethia's new daily called Resham Dank, which will air on Star One from August 14 in the 9.30 pm slot.
The show is a gripping drama of a young couple's unconditional love for their child, set in a family of industrialists.
Besides Apara, the star cast includes Moulli Ganguly, Raahil Azim, Rajiv Mehta, Sumeet Raghavan, Sulbha Deshpande and a kid, Yash Bhadrani.
The idea stemmed from the story that Majethia and Kapadia had penned for Chitralekha magazine which was greatly popular among readers.
Unlike other soaps which go on and on, this is a finite soap.
