Maan got alarmed immediately. He knew his Geet was very strong and this time the matter was very serious, as it had brought out such an emotional side of her. Her being emotional was a rare sight… In fact he had seen her getting so emotional only twice, one time was today and the last time was when she told him about that night…

"Geet… Tumhari doctor sey kuchh baat hui??? I mean doctor ne kuchh aisa kaha ki… Mera matlab hai next appointment toh teen din baad ka tha na???"

"Wo… Haa… Haan… Wo…"

Geet was simply unable to speak as she was continuously crying… Her breath was gradually getting labored…

Maan knew it was not good for her; he himself sat on his chair and made Geet sit on his lap… He took the remote and closed the lock of the cabin as well as all the blinds to ensure that no one saw them in such a compromising position… He constantly rubbed her back to calm her down…

"Please mujhe batao Geetu…"

Maan was dreading the news… He knew that it had to be something very heart shattering… He even had a fair idea that what the news was… Though he wanted to be proved wrong… He didn't want to lose the one person who held so much importance in his life… Even above Geet… The one person who was a connection between Geet and him…

"M… Maan… T.. Teen… d.. Din…"

Maan was simply stupefied… He didn't know what to say or what to do… This was even worse that he had expected… Involuntarily tears came out from his eyes… He couldn't believe that this was happening to him and Geet…

"Haan… Sirf teen din hain hamare p… paas d…. decide kar… karne ke l.. llliye…"

"NAHI!!! Kuchh nahi hoga Sam ko Geet… Kuchh bhi nahi… Kuchh nahi hone dunaga main ussey… Kuchh nahi hoga HAMARE BETE KO…."

Maan assured Geet though he himself was breaking from within… He knew that there was not much they could do now except to pray…

Geet felt a strange kind of peace in her heart as she heard Maan's reassurance… She knew that it was practically illogical but she couldn't help herself from believing in Maan… She buried her head in the crook of his neck and let the much needed calmness spread within her…

"Kya hum Sam se abhi milne chal saktey hain????"

Maan asked out of the blue… Geet looked at him and nodded immediately with a big watery smile…

He got up from his seat and helped Geet in getting up too… They held their hands together to give each other their strength…

"Wo Swarnam Project ki details main Adi sir ko de deti hoon… Phir hum aadhey ghantey mein chaltey hain… Main neechey aapka wait karoongi…"

Maan nodded while Geet went out of the cabin after composing herself a little…

As soon as Geet went out, Maan broke down completely… He knew what he wanted was next to impossible… But one thing was sure…

"Main tumhe kuchh nahi honey dunga Sam… Kuchh bhi nahi… yeh waada hai Tumharre Papa ka tumsey beta…"

His lips curved into a smile as he remembered the second meeting with Geet and the first time he met the most cute and adorable baby in the world… SAMRAT…

PAST

Maan had went for camping to vent out his anger… he could never forget the humiliation he had to face due to a mere college going girl… He had set up detectives to find all history – geography of the girl who had managed to make Maan Singh Khurana's life a living hell….

"Main aa raha hoon Miss. Geet… And I promise you… Very soon you will regret the day you were born…"

He gave an evil smirk… he had got a phone call on his satellite phone this morning that the detectives had found out everything about her and thus Maan was heading towards his destination… Delhi…

When he was driving, he received a call from the detectives…

"Hello…."

"Sir… wo aapne uss ladki ki current location puchhi thi…"

"Yes.. So where is she hiding right now??"

"Sir.. Wo iss waqt City Hospital mein hai…"

"WHAT??? Hospital????"

"Jee sir…"

"Hmm Lagta hai ki kisi ne mere sey pehley hi ussey upar pahuchane ka intazaam kar diya… Na jaane kitne jano se panga liya hoga uss sar phiri ladki ne…" Maan murmured…

"Sir.. Aapne kuchh kaha???"

"Umm Nahi.. Ya Haan wo… waha kar kya rahi hai… I mean accident case or something… Ya phir kisi ke saath hai???"

"Sir… wo yaha ek patient sey milne aayi hai… In fact wo har roz yaha uss patient sey milney aati hai…"

"Very interesting… Dushman ki kamzori jaan na bahut faayde mand rehta hai… Aur abb to mujhe bhi shayad tumhari dukhati rag mil gayi hai Miss. Geet…" Maan thought smiling within…

"Okk so iss patient ka naam kya hai??"

"Sir… Samrat…"

"Right… And yeh usss ladki Geet ka kya lagta hai… I mean Bhai… boyfriend… or like father – uncle types…"

"Sir inn mein se koi bhi nahi… In fact yeh baat jaan kar sir, mujhe bhi kaafi acharaj hua tha but this information is perfectly true…"

"Aisi kya baat hai??" Maan asked curiously…

"Samrat is Geet's son… Unka beta…"

Maan's car came to a screeching halt as he pressed the brakes so hard… Thankfully he was on an isolated road and the jeep didn't skid, so no mishap happened….

He was completely shocked at this piece of information…

"WHAT RUBBISH… Uss ladki ki age toh zyada sey zyada bees – Ekkees saal hai and she didn't seem married aur wo unn type ki ladkiyon mein sey bhi nahi lag rahi thi.. then…"

"Sir… Yehi baat toh hairani ki hai… Miss. Geet is definitely unmarried and…"

"AND????"

"She just turned 18 years a few months back…"
