Dear Shyamala, Ovi should diffuse the tension and head back to Canada as there is still sometime till the wedding.

By bogus lawsuit, I didn't mean fake lawsuit or that Ovi made it up. I meant it is a lawsuit with no real merit to it. If she is being sued for extending her leave that is one thing as they cannot be suing her for her intention to get married (= engagement) as they have already been apprised o that. She cannot yet be sued for getting married as it hasn't happened, so if she is being sued for staying longer in India, she should be catching that plane to Canada making us all happy! 😆

Shyamala, Thanks for your analysis on lawsuit. I understand the seriousness of a lawsuit. I have seen it most of the time corporate/big companies win the case. But the way you are showing the seriousness of the lawsuit, CV is not showing it. Also it should not matter until Ovi gets married, no one can file a lawsuit until she is officially married. She can plan anything that her heart desires.

I just watch the Isha's YouTube clip to see the ArVi-Tej-Ovi lunch part. Only according to me, Arjun acted cleverly for the courtcase part because he wanted to show his justification to Purvi for not telling Ovi. But when Purvi came and Tej ask him, he said "she can sit (stay), chalega" It sounded to me he was doing a favor to Purvi. Purvi is allowed to do whatever she likes in her break time; she does not need Arjun's permission. She is responsible and now she has POA. He was more worried that Ovi does not find out about ArVi. It is only my perspective.

Ovi was working in Canada and that is where a case was filed against her .

Should she not be telling this to Sachin who is a lawyer in Canada .Why is she depending on Arjun to help her when the person who can help her best is Sachin .

What is Sachin doing? Does he have a job in Canada that he has quit? Does he just sit around the house and mope and glower at Archu all day long? What a wastrel he has turned out to be!

Tanya, you are right, he should put at least part of his time to good use and help his sister.

I think Ovi is turning to Arjun instead of Sachin, because she wants to get closer to Arjun, now that she will get married to him. She wants to know him better, wants to earn his sympathy more and more.

Also, Ovi is not asking Sachin for support is because, if they don't show her turning to Arjun, then how will Arjun and Ovi continue to stay engaged, and how will Purvi's heartache and cryathons be shown, how will the separation track be continued, how will the viewers be tortured by the CVs??

Thats why ... Ovi is not turning to Sachin. 😡

And Sachin's only job in the serial is to harass Archana. 😡

You are absolutely right about the marriage part - that there can be no action for breach of contract till Ovi is actually married. But there is another angle to this. If the firm can show solid evidence of an intent on her part to breach the contract, they can ask for a court injunction to prevent it. if that fails, there can be legal action for breach of contract. Such evidence could be, for example, the wedding invitation.

I also noticed that when Ovi is telling Arjun about it at the party, she mentions only a "notice" to her from the firm. Not a court case already. But she is such a featherhead that by the time she gets to the lunch, the 'notice' has become a 'court case'.

Of course "Arjun acted cleverly for the courtcase part because he wanted to show his justification to Purvi for not telling Ovi". Only it was not partly but wholly. As I had noted in my post of that day about this episode, that was the entire point of his bringing up the matter in this grouping.

When Purvi suddenly lands up at the lunch, Arjun must have got rattled, because of his feeling of guilt at having failed her again the previous evening. He has not yet been able to think of a way to get thru to her without getting chewed out and/or slapped again, and now to have her plunked in the seat next to him must have been unnerving. When she greets him as 'Sir', this must have become worse (though how else COULD she have addressed him in public?).

Having seen that Arjun is there, Purvi immediately starts making excuses for leaving, citing urgent work at the office. Teju wants to stop her, and it is then that she appeals to Arjun, as Purvi's boss, to make sure that Purvi can stay. His "she can sit (stay), chalega" is in this context. I really don't think it was because "He was more worried that Ovi does not find out about ArVi". I think rather that if she did, in whatever manner, he would be greatly relieved, for then HE would be spared having to tell her himself. Just like a man to avoid unpleasantness whenever he can!

In this context, do take a look at my response to posts by Archana and Abhi in the thread Second Thoughts; I have tried to go a little deeper into the Arjun-Ovi relationship. You may or may not agree with me, but I think you would find it of interest. What I have said there would also relate and respond to Janhvi's criticism of Arjun for smiling open-heartedly at Ovi at the lunch.

One has also to remember that Arjun has never been a particularly articulate chap. He is always saying 'Okay, okay', or something else equally monosyllabic. A more suave young man would have said "Of course you must stay, Miss Purvi, and the work can surely be managed after lunch." Not Arjun Kirloskar. The only exceptions to this are when he is soaked in rain and addressing his beloved. Then he becomes suddenly and splendidly communicative, but even then NOT in flowery sentences, as you would remember from the airport scene. The only long and extremely articulate monologue of his was at that wonderful mandir scene, but then that was a decided exception that actually proves the rule!

PS: Of course it is your perspective, and that is what is valuable, and what makes the forum so lively. I fail to understand why we are all so concerned about being misunderstood even when we voice our opinions in perfectly polite language!

As usual, you are dead right. If only everyone could analyse all the sticky situations in PR with equal clarity and detachment, there would be no pushing of the panic button!

And Sachin's only job in the serial is to harass Archana. And look absolutely wooden and unchanging in the process. They might as well make one of those incredibly detailed wax and silicone models of Sachin, glowering look firmly pasted on his face, and dispense with Puru Chibber altogether.

Yes, the wax figurine of Sachin would do the job and sufficiently.

Actually, I have become so fond of some of our forum friends and members (more than Arjun-Purvi now😳), that I really want everyone to just take a step back from this Arjun-Purvi track and not take them to heart. I have hurt a lot before for the way Arjun-Purvi were butchered, and now want everyone to not be hurt if they show something equally moronic in the future. PR CVs are known for dishing out such terrible tracks, and we don't really know where they're headed with this one.

I read your other post where you likened Arjun to a less handsome version of Brad Pitt. 🤣

Who would you associate Purvi with? She reminds me strongly of Manisha Koirala at times, not always though.
