Confused with the episode??? Or, you all are confused with the spreading of spoiler??? Well with the spoiler I cannot throw light upon because I never believe in the leaked news item; that is not my forte. To me these spoilers are much like a student pays bribe to get the question papers before the exam if I look from an audience perspective; and if I look from the PH and Channel's perspective then these spoilers are there getting the momentum in audience's mind. Simple. Understand this. Right now the PH and Channel are bombarded with mails from Barun/ASR fans, hence they need to release some spoilers which can give them the momentum they required. Pretty Logical. The promo spoiler that is spreading around, is designed in such a way that it will ensure the publicity they would love to have at this juncture. I never am interested in these spoilers or even promos and never allow myself to be engaged in the discussions either. So, I am not the better person to judge. One thing I am pretty confident of, is, whatever I believe is always through the episode. Nothing speaks in a more profound manner than the "Episode" regarding what is going on in the writer's mind. Hence, my advice to you all is - "Always believe in the action (read: work) of a person rather than the words".
Do you realize why I have given the title "Little drop of dew"??? actually it meant - "One drop of dew" instead. Why I have said that??? I always have mentioned that ask youself the question, WHY?? Since I had to open Redux early and after I watched the episode, I got the message but as I always put the title based on the message, I thought since I got the message will put the title; so that by the time I update my post, you all can at least figure out the essence of today's episode. But I was "Disheartened" when I saw none of you have asked this question - "Doodle why did you give such an unusual title ' little drop of dew"??? What does it mean??? And none of you have even tried to start a discussion to decipher what it could be??? Since this poem is in bengali, I have pasted the translated version, but still you all are interested in discussing - Shyam's lust, the spoiler promo and Shyam's advances towards Khushi etc. etc. For a moment it came to my mind why am I doing this??? Why am I taking the pains to explain what is going on in the episode and deciphering the tracks and helping the PH in making the serial a bit better; I know they have the vision but they also need to have that "dur ki soch" which I am helping them with; but for whom??? For "You All" and here I see in the most "Important Thread" of the forum the readers are more interested in the spoilers than the message of the episode as if time is running out. I get tons of PMs requesting me to never stop writing and all claim to be an avid reader of my analysis, but did anyone realize today why Naani was sitting in the lounge and "Stitching" the garment??? Did anyone realize today that somewhere in my analysis I have described the difference between "Symbolism and Metaphor" and the creative team has used the same "Example" and did such a beautiful job in using it in a proper way??? No. NONE. One spoiler news from the PH and all my efforts and your beliefs in my analysis went down the drain. I got numerous PMs asking me - "Doods, you said confession will be in June/July, how will you explain this promo"??? Seriously, this will ever happen to me I never knew. Now I realized why you all need me, just so because I solve the puzzles in the episodes. That's it and that much I am valued for. All I will say that you believe what your heart wants to believe. Never believe me on my face value as I always say; judge me and then believe me. I am also a human and I also do make mistakes. That's all I can say.
Let's come to the title first:-
"Bohu din dhore, bohu krosh dure,
bohu byay kore, bohu desh ghure,
Dekhite giyachhi parbotmala, dekhite giyachhi sindhu,
Dekha hoy nai chokkhu meliya,
Ghar hote shudhu dui pa feliya,
Ekti dhaan-er sheesh'er upor ekti shishir bindu."
Which goes like this ...
"I traveled miles, for many a year,
I spent a lot in lands afar,
I've gone to see the mountains, the oceans I've been to view.
But I haven't seen with these eyes
Just two steps from my home lies
On a sheaf of paddy grain, a glistening drop of dew".
Hmmm. Who all understood the poem??? Whenever I read this I get goose bumps. One of the best metaphoric poems of Rabindranath Tagore I have read; all his poems are one of a kind to be apt. Did you realize the metaphoric meaning in the above poem??? This says, "I have been looking for greener pastures far far away, went to visit various places and have spent lots of money to see myself beyond the other side of the river, I have run after so many things and wanted to enjoy the life that I dreamt; I chased my dreams all along and have always thought of myself wandering from this place, my home but I never knew that; until I realized that all my eternity and heaven was always with me, in front of my eyes, near my home, in my home, by my side". In one sentence it says - "We don't value what we have on hand". We don't value where God had placed us.
Yes, this is the message of today's episode; this is the message and it is both for Arnav and Shyam. Today's episode profoundly managed to deliver this simple message with finesse; Arnav was not even present in the episode yet all the hints were that the day is coming pretty soon for him to realize; that when Khushi was always in front of him he never valued her righteousness; he never valued that his world always revolved around her; he never realized that this girl have become the integral part of his life and he always butchered her morals and innocence slowly slowly; that he actually never even understood her and believed in what he saw rather believing in her actions. Yes, that day is coming pretty and it will be far more torturous than he will ever imagine.
The same way today's episode talked about Shyam; his dreams and the means of fulfilling it. He always looked away rather than concentrated on what he had in his hands; his Anjali and the future. Do you remember what he said to Anjali today??? He said - "Rani Saheba, shower mein kuch kharabi hai kya??? Pata nehin lagta hain paani ke connection mein kuch problem ho gayi hain, paani dhang se nehin aa raha hai". Isn't it interesting???
Here cometh my analysis on Apr 23rd where I explained the difference between "Metaphor and Symbolism". Excerpts here:-
Now, the most debatable topic ever ' Metaphor v/s Symbolism. Metaphor will be related to real life comparison but symbolism is what you are interpreting, where there is no such connection at all. A metaphor is an example, or different way of explaining a concept, to better understand the concept or idea. A symbol is more of a physical thing to look at to be used to represent a physical thing. There is a very fine line between metaphor and symbolism. They're related, but a metaphor is used to draw a comparison between two distinct objects, whereas a symbol is used a stand-in for a much more complex, and generally more abstract, idea. In literature, a metaphor would typically be used in a specific instance to compare two objects, but a symbol would be used throughout the work as a major part of the theme. Metaphor is proven but symbolism is not IMO.
Like I explained in "Raisin" or "North by Northwest". Raisin is compared to "Deferred Dream"; when we weave a dream we nurture them and when slowly slowly the reality strikes in and the dreams are deferred then it becomes like a raisin in the sun. This is called "Metaphor" or an example I can cite - the life cycle of a butterfly could be a metaphor for the career of a ballerina or like we say "love is like a rose" which basically means "Pyaar katon se bharphur hota hai."
But "Symbols" are used as "Substitution" like "a pipe for a father's authority" or "Liberation like a bird". The pipe and liberation have little inherent meaning, the author uses them (consciously or not) in reference to the real subject.
Now remembered??? I said I will explain when it happens because in metaphor you don't require to project it as a major part of the theme whereas in symbolism you need to. They have projected the "Bath scene" is such a way that it almost disclosed entire track from Shyaam's plan to Arnav's realization. Everything. Now, what example did I give on Apr 23rd analysis while explaining symbolism??? "A pipe for a father's authority". Pipe is used here as a "Way", "Path'. Isn't it??? The same way when Shyaam said "Shower mein kharaai hai kya"??? WOW. Now that is a Symbolism. Then he said again - "paani nehin aa rahi hai".Another symbolism. When Anjali suggested to go use Arnav's bathroom he agreed and why not??? You think it's for Khushi??? Naah. it's for himself. Why??? Read me on here.
What is water used for here??? And Shower??? It means "Flow of money". Always remember symbolism is based on a theme; it has to have a flow; here the entire second part of the episode is based on this "Flow of Money" theme. Now, Shyam married Anjali only on the purpose of "Money" and to acquire "Wealth". Here I will take you to the episode where Anjali had caught Shyam red handed in Arnav's room, remember??? It was Mar 29th epi. There Shyam managed to convince Anjali that she and their baby princess is his property; isn't it??? I also mentioned that I loved the voice over in that episode. Here I am pasting the same for your convenience. Just read it:-
I liked that the Creative team have over-recorded Shyaam's dialogue here. His confirmation "Aap aur humari honewali rajkumari hi toh humari puri jaaydad hain" was added later on. Nice correction because Anjali's deliusion is still needed for the story to move forward and keeps Shyaam character intact. That's why he confirmed again on the property thing with Anjali and I loved that the CVs have also confirmed that whatever it is Shyaam will never leave Anjali till he acquires the wealth and Arnav's recent conversation proves that the legal papers are indeed to keep Anjali-Shyaam together by hook or crook.
Didn't I say then that Shyam will leave Anjali's side the moment he'll have the wealth on hand??? Yes, and today as per his knowledge he has acquired the wealth. What is the need for Anjali then??? He said - "Shower mein kharaabi and paani nehin aa rahi". Of course, it is. Now the flow of money is not there in Anjali's grip. So he doesn't need her any more. The pipe (read: Anjali) is useless now for him, isn't it??? He is owner now and he has the flow of money in his fist; just a matter of time for him. He said - "Raani sahiba ne sujhav di" to Khushi. Indeed. The Will was in her name and so Shyam changed it on his name, her life partner. Interesting. Now the most interesting part; Anjali said - "Hum HPji ko abhi bolke PLUMBER ko bulatein hain". What does a plumber do??? Repair right and make the pipe in working condition again so that the shower works properly and water flows without any interruption. What is the plumber here??? Yes, the "WILL" and fantastic part is Shyam himself denied the option of Aakash. Wonderful. Now this is what is called - Symbolism. This is why I always say, symbolism needs continuity; the entire second part was about the "Flow of money". Shyam will be back again to Anjali as she is the "PIPE" to his "Wealth". This is why I said that the "Will" be such which will ensure Anjali and Shyam be together by hook or crook. Shyam is right now celebrating his victory and so he is digging his own grave. Which is why I said he doesn't know the value of "one little drop of dew".
There is another connection with the "Shower" here and that is "Tea". The creative team has clubbed these two properly. Who remembers the story of "Shoemaker and Elves"??? There elves helped the shoemaker who solved the problem and the wife of the shoemaker "Stitched" garments for the elves. The moral of this fable is "helping each other". I'll take you now to the episode where Naani witnessed Khushi's righteousness, remember??? Today also the same thing happened. This time Anjali also was roped in. What was Naani doing in the lounge today??? "Stitching" right??? Nani and Anjali are elves here in the lives of Arnav and Khushi because these two pious ladies have witnessed all the worries about Arnav that clouded Khushi's emotions. I remember in my analysis on May 10th (Ra.One), I said Arnav needs to hear also from both Naani and Anjali about Khushi's righteousness and love because the "Lover" Arnav will be satisfied by the Terrace Confrontation but what about the "Brother" Arnav??? He needs to learn that whatever Khushi had hidden from him and his family was for the betterment of Anjali only. Directly or indirectly he needs to hear that. Who better than Naani here to assure him that Khushi was always on the right path???
Here cometh the "Tea" part. What is the purpose of "Tea". Tea gets "Destroyed" and "Tortured" in boiling water to release the "Flavor" and "Color" and satiates pleasure in others. Isn't it??? Now this is "Metaphor" and not a symbolism. I hope by the end of this analysis you all will learn to pick the difference between metaphor and symbolism. Well, Khushi here is compared just like Tea. The scene was the same as in Mar 30th episode. There Khushi was equally worried and Naani witnessed the righteous Khushi. Today Naani witnessed a different facet of Khushi. She have seen this Khushi as adding flavor and color in Arnav and rest of the family member's life but today that colorful and flavorful Khushi even forgot to smile. This is why Anjali witnessed when Khushi said in the beginning - "wohi toh di, hum haansna bhi nehin chahtein". Khushi is not even been able to be true to her name; she forgot smiling, living life happily; everything. This Khushi was witnessed by both the elves here and they will be the "food for thought" for Arnav when Khushi will be hospitalized and here will the famous advice of Anjali will come into play - "jab woh tumse dur chali jayengi toh tumhaare saansein ruk jayangi".
Then most important thing noticeable here is Naani declined the "tea" that Khushi brought for her. Why??? Why??? And Naani said - "hum chai peeyee rahein". WOW. This is good. This meant she knows the girl - "Khushi", she doesn't need to know her. But there is one person who needs to know this Khushi and that is the mighty "Arnav Singh Raizada". You know why??? Just after this scene Khushi rushed to her room and she saw the devil. Here is the connection between metaphor and symbolism. Now I will deliver the GOOD NEWS here which will make all of you happy.
When Khushi entered the her bedroom she saw the devil and the devil was waiting for her just to pull her in his trap. Read my explanation carefully here.
Shyam came out of the shower and waited for the prey. The moment she stepped in, he started his game of "Wolf and the Lamb" here. What did I mention above about another interesting characteristics of "Tea"??? How the tea brings out the flavor and color??? Yup, when the tea is grilled and boiled in the boiling water; this is how they release the flavor and color; this is how they satiates the taste for others. Isn't it??? Shyam is celebrating his victory now and he is getting restless to shout on top of the voice that he is the "King" of this house. He needs to be in the vicinity of Arnav's room to have the feeling of "Authority". Shyam had already succeeded in poisoning Arnav's mind and now his other goal is "Khushi". But what he doesn't know is that this victory is temporary for him; for his actual "pipe" for "Authority" is seeking help from another "Eye Witness" - "Hari Prasad", the only person apart from Mamaji who have witnessed Shyam always at the wrong places, in the wrong time. Bingo.
Shyam said - "waise kami bhi kaise Khushiji??? Woh ho ya naa ho, naa aap ko farak padhta hain aur naa hi aap ke shaadi shuda zindagi mein koi gehra badlao aa sakta hain". The biggest mistake of Shyam here is that he is not realizing the "IMPORTANCE of Arnav - Khushi Equation". The word "KAMI" is self-explanatory and here his "Ignorance" is defined. The game have started and Khushi slowly is picking all the pearls of wisdom. But then Shyam did deliver the biggest hint - "Waise bhi, aap Arnavji ko inn nazron se kahan dekhti hongi ... is tarah toh aap sirf humhein hi dekhti hongi"??? WOW. Now this is what I call is a "HINT". In the wolf and the lamb story all these pearls of wisdom will be used by Khushi where Arnav will WITNESS how Khushi tolerated the grill and torture by Shyam just so that Arnav can be rescued and the "AR property" can be safe. This is where the "Tea" which Naani declined comes into picture and how Arnav will WITNESS his true "Khushi in the Terrace Confrontation". Yes, Arnav will "Witness" and that was proved today.
Another HINT for Arnav's witness was the dialogue by Shyam that I mentioned above. Arnav will now witness this "ANGRY LOOK" of Khushi to Shyam and this time the "Chaap", the horrifying picture that was printed in his mind will be erased and replaced by a new and good one.
This is when Arnav will realize he always ignored the sight and the value of this "little drop of dew".
P.S.:- I didn't touch on numbers 11 and 4 today because you all know the significance of them and it was related to Arnav's disappearance which is still incomplete for Khushi to figure out and how God's creative work will help her in finding out. Until the number 3 comes, it will not be complete.
