Actress Richa Panai, who made her M'wood debut in Albert Antony's Vadamalli, is trying her hands at comedy for the first time in a Telugu movie that is tentatively titled Nelatha Kovodu.
"It is a mythological film wherein I also dress the part. The story is partly mythology and partly fiction. And I play Yamaja, Yamaraj's daughter," says Richa, who is paired opposite Allari Naresh in the movie. "I have never done a comedy role before; so I am excited and at the same time, anxious about how the audience will accept my character," says Richa. However, she is thankful to the director of the movie, Sathibabu, for his guidance.
"Now I have started enjoying the shoot thoroughly," says Richa, who is currently shooting in Hyderabad. "Actress Ramya Krishnan plays my mother. And the best part of the shoot was a song sequence which I shared with Ramya. It was so much fun and I hope the audience will love it too," she says. Richa, who is three-films-old in Mollywood, began her career with a string of ads which she is still recognised for. While she is yet to make it big in Mollywood, hopes are pinned on her next release here, Nayattu, directed by P Chandrakumar. Richa plays an IT professional in the thriller.
