ahh finally an update and it made me wanting more... interestingly I want to read more about v and R

Chapter 24: Khushi, Vaibhavi, Veronica

{Yes, I know it's a short chapter, gals.]

Rajeev found her later with Nikhil. Her mask was off and her long hair floated down to her waist as she knelt next to the boy and split a jalebi in half with him. He watched her face; her kajol-ed eyes and her ruby lips as they teased Nikhil. And he wondered how in all the time that he had worked with her, he had never noticed it like he had today. They were not like the ones that he had kissed. These had a clearly bow-tipped upper lip that was distinct; the ones that he had kissed had fuller lower lips that puckered just slightly so even at rest. There is no sane man that would ever confuse the two.

The eyes were different too. These were limpid and dark and large and expressive. The other set were narrower with light brown irises flecked with just a bit of gold and almost feline in its shape. He could he not notice?

Who was the other one? Where had she come from? And how did she know ASR?

As if in answer, she appeared suddenly, walking towards Khushi's side with Jay's hand held in hers.

Nikhil noticed first and he saw him look back and forth at the women, his jaw hanging open.

He noticed Khushi following the boy's gaze and lifting her eyes up to the woman standing by their side, mask and eye-wear in place unlike Khushi.

"Whoa!" Jay and Nikhil said in unison before Jay asked, "If you are Bee Maasi, then who are you?"

"Yea, who are you?" Nikhil piped up.

As he watched, the woman pulled off her mask and smiled at the twins.

His eyes widened.

The head was full of soft tufts of brown curls that were wisps that went about its own way. Her skin, although only as fair as Khushi's, had soft freckles dotting across the bridge of her nose. The eyebrows had almost no arch to them, but looked like two straight slashes of light brown. And the lips. Those lips had been the bane of his existence once upon a time. Those lips that had spouted the craziest things that he had ever heard any of the members of the fairer sex say.

Veronica f**king MacDowell!

"Vaibhavi. Vaibhavi Singh Raizada MacDowell." He heard her say to the twins just then.
