I am not sure if i need to ask to post this or can just post it. Mods please tell me if i need permission.

I'm sure the writers, Ekta, et.al at least occasionally read the posts on our IF forum. I dont want to repeat things that have been said over and over, but this little letter is to you Ekta and the writers.

There are those of us who have watched PR for a very long time and we have seen that you, Ekta, have a remarkable way of bringing a beautiful love story to the forefront - perfect actors, perfect jodis, lovely romantic scenes. Excellent and beautifully done. But then as soon as we are swooning and in love you find a way to stymie the relationship - not kill it altogether, but leave it dangling, as we hope and dream about reunions and fulfillment.

Usually it's about the lead characters, Archana and Manav, but not always. Now of course there is the sub-lead jodi - that of ARVI (Arjun / Purvi ). We have been varied in our assessments of what goes wrong; some blame one, some blame the other, some blame both characters for the problems that occur.

However, one single assessment permeates almost all the dilemmas and is a constant theme in our anguish. That, Ekta, is the pervasive problem of secrets being kept from one person to the other. It, you yourself show, is the main cause of the problems within the drama of Pavitra Rishta. It, more than anything else, causes characters to go astray, to be immobilized with pain, and causes enormous, enormous frustration and also anguish for the viewers.

Pavitra Rishta started in June 2009. Many of us here have been with your show that long as well, others of us have joined in as the show moved along (or didn't move along 😊 ). But on behalf of those who came with the beginning shows, I want to say this. For three years we have waited for Manav and Archana to resolve their marriage issues. For three years we have waited for Archana to tell the truth to Manav and not play the sacrificial martyr. For three years we have waited for Manav to understand his wife and put 2 and 2 together and trust her. For three years we have patiently and not so patiently waited.

Would you agree that is long enough for faithful viewers and supporters of your show? Would you agree that it is finally time for Archana and Manav to act like mature human beings and discuss from the heart the issues they face?

I am asking you, please, if you have not yet shot the actual sequence that will be shown from the rain scene and the telephone booth ( Indian telephone booths are huge !! 😆 ), if there is still room to "correct" the scene, I am imploring you to at least, for the sake of 3 years of faithful viewers, allow this couple to open up about their misunderstandings. Please, will you let Archana finally say to Manav that he sent divorce papers and court orders to sign over the children? Please, will you let Manav tell Archana he sent airplane tickets, and why didn't she come? Please, will you let Archana mention that Sachin expects and has asked her, no, ordered her, to allow Shravani to marry him (Manav)? These would be starters at least.

Is it possible you will bring them to this confrontation in the phone booth and still not let the real stories be revealed? I can't think of anything worse to watch to be honest.

In short, will you honor the feelings and faithfulness of your audience by at least letting the truths be known between your lead characters? This will also give us hope that you will eventually honor the jodi of ARVI as well, whom as you know, we all long to see together. But for those of us for the ARMAN jodi, we have waited 3 years.

I don't think it is asking too much, and we, above all else, will compliment you and lift you up on our shoulders. You will write the story that follows as you will. But, please, at the very least, let the truths be known.

It is time.

Sincerely,
Naava

I would like to add more to this:

Dear PR team,
I am one of those who lost interest in the show completely cos of the way you ruined ArMan's beautiful love story. From two responsible mature adults, you turned them into a husband and wife who couldn't manage their household issues, their personal problems and finally agreed to give away the symbol of their love to a psychotic woman.
Don't force others to go the same route as me. Respect the wishes of your audience, and bring in drama and masala to the show even while keeping up some hope/positivity in the story. Don't get misguided by your TRP's. Truth is that no one likes to see despair all the time.

very good post Naava . I completely agree .Even I am fed up of this show and the frustrating story line .Manav and Archana are the most horrible couple ...
They are stretching this track so much that people are loosing interest .
I do the updates only for my friends ...if it was not for this , I would have skipped this show for a couple of months till the divorce date wil lcome near and withing 2 days all mysteries will be resolved ...so predictable this is ...

@Naava wonderful letter dear👏 👍🏼.But alas these things never get into Ekta maata's thick brain cells. Ekta is such a shrewd business professional I wonder why she makes her shows gone down to the drains after a rocking start.
The concept of her shows ,the USP's are always innovative and amazing at the start and then when audience get completely hooked into it, the tale of twists and leaps with Saas-bahu nonsense is put in to destroy the USP of the show itself.Wonder when will Ekta open her eyes and see the reality.Looks like she has a certain transient CV's whose main job is to create the USP of the show and run the storyline till audience hookup and then they move on to create her next show, meanwhile she brings in her thoughtless set of folks to that hooked up show who run the show for just TRP with twists and leaps.

Thanks Jai..🤗
@blue.. 🤣 sadly, as funny as that is, i think you hit the nail on that one. What i don't understand Jai is why the TRP's go up when she does this stuff !!

Excellent Post !!!! Agree totally with everyone. Not only in this soap, but in all of them...there is NOT ONE JODI that is happy in TV land. It's obstacles after obstacles after obstacles. I just don't get it. 😕

Tanya, I hate it so much when this happens in these serials..and it's always so phony baloney..sometimes only takes one day to solve all the problems and mysteries...leaving most of the probs in the dust and they never say boo about them..

Wonderful post Naava! 👏 I just wish Ekta would care a little bit about the shows she produces. Someone mentioned on the forum how she doesn't really much care for any of her shows currently on air except for BALH. Why keep them going if you don't care about them? Don't ever take too much on your plate Ekta as you have shown you can't handle everything. I watch American shows like the Vampire Diaries and the producers are so involved in that show and treat all the actors wonderfully that it makes the show so much more interesting to watch. Here, Ekta doesn't seem to care about her actors or the state of the shows she produces and lets sadistic creatives handle everything. Some of the scenes are so wonderfully shot that we praise the CVs and most of the time the scenes and story are utter crap that the CVs deserve all the blame.
