Television actor Gurmeet with girlfriend Debina. Soon to be seen in Zee TV's upcoming show Punar Vivah, actor Gurmeet Choudhary claims this will be his last stint on the small screen.

Adding that he wants to pursue other avenues, Gurmeet says, "I don't want to do the same roles on TV over and over again. I want my roles to be different which is why Ram in Ramyaan, Maan in Geet and now Yash in Punar Vivaah are distinct from each other."

After sporting long locks for his character as Ram, the actor later buffed up his body to portray Maan. Now, Gurmeet will be seen sporting bangs and a leaner body for his new role as a wedding planner.

"People haven't ever seen the real me as I let my characters, their look and my work do the talking," he feels. Ask him if he's still open to reality show, and Gurmeet quickly adds that he's game "as they pay well".

About his latest show, Punar Vivaah, which is based on remarriage and how the married couple makes adjustments post marriage, Gurmeet admits he didn't expect to bag such a good role so soon. "Post Geet, I thought I would not work for at least six months, but when Punar Vivaah came to me, I couldn't refuse. The concept is brilliant and my character is remarkable."

With three roles behind him, the actor feels there aren't many pathbreaking roles on the tube to entice him. The actor is set to make his big screen debut with a Punjabi film, though is currently waiting for the official announcement.
