Karan Johar And Madhuri Dixit to Judge Gurmeet

Speculation is on about who will participate in the dance reality show this season

Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa is back with its fifth season and the excitement remains unabated. The show will now be aired on Colors instead of Sony, and the channel has already roped in several big names as contestants. Usually the contestants are professionals in different fields, but this time around it seems the channel is focusing on actors. If the list doing the rounds is correct, the only exception is Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya. Everyone else belongs to the entertainment industry.

The unofficial list includes Darsheel Safary (of Taare Zameen Par fame), Isha Sharvani and Ravi Kissen from the Hindi film industry. Television actors who are on the list include Gurmeet Choudhry (Punar Vivah), Karan V Grover (Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli), Giaa Manek (Saath Nibhana Saathiya), Meghna Malik (Na Aana Is Des Laado), Pratyusha Banerjee (Balika Vadhu), Bharti Singh (Comedy Circus) and Hina Khan (Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai). The judges too are well-known entertainers: Madhuri Dixit Nene, Remo D'souza and ' lo and behold! ' Karan Johar. We can understand Mads and Remo as judges, but why KJo?
When contacted, a Colors' representative said that the list is just speculation and only the judges have been confirmed so far. Even if that's the case, it looks to us as if the channel is taking the mantra of success being 'entertainment, entertainment, entertainment' too seriously. What do you think?
