There is logic behid such a thought,,

And it seems Kushi is in Action with her own plan- because of her love to him, that she cannot bear losing him---

May be Shyam is not aware of her level of English, so that the WILL and being with Shyam may lead her to figure out the truth behind everything, the efforts of Shyam in snatching the property,, may be she continues and pretend to be faithful to Shyam to understand hisplans-- and then she will use a strong proof --saving his property (and may be his family)-- to wash off all the accusations against her,,

I don't think she is that dumb to believe that the man who didn't believe her words would believe Shyam's plans,, she has acted so smart with her pranks so far, so she herself may be having a pretty clever plan to win the trust back( only if she was not confused and couldn't come to senses due to shock and depression-- but I don't think so, becuase the manner she continued smiling after the break of the ultimate truth behind the marriage)
