Manini De with Akshay Anand in Baal Baal Bacche

After playing the lash-fluttering secretary Pari in Jassi (Sony), Manini De now turns boss in Baal Baal Bacche (SaharaOne). As Mrs Talwar, she essays the sexy, in control boss of a weather station.

"The one thing that she detests are kids," says De about her role. To make matters worse there's the character of Akshay Anand, who plays single father to three girls. "This is something which she can't digest nor his frequent late coming because of the children," adds De.

Baal Baal Bacche is produced by the husband-wife producer duo of Tony and Deeya Singh (Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin).

"It's our first show after more than a year post Jassi. We like looking at the funny side of life. And we like to deal with kids. The plot lends itself to a great number of funny situations," says Singh.

The plot of Baal Baal Bacche revolves around three girls and three men in a house and their quest to find the missing mother figure. The cast includes Vrajesh Hirjee and Shweta Prasad (Makdee).

Baal Baal Bachke premieres on SaharaOne at 8.30 pm today.
