Who's life is it, anyway?

Sushmita Sen's life seems to provide endless fodder to our films. Just as the film industry was getting over rumours of Vikram Bhatt's Ankahee being based on his relationship with the actress, now comes Tanuja Chandra's Zindaggi Rocks which seems to draw from the actresses' life as well.
The film stars Sushmita as a singer-performer who gets involved with a doctor played by Shiney Ahuja.
Producer Anurradha Prasad admits that there are similarities between the lives of the character and the actress. "They're both part of the performing arts, and also independent working women. And yes in both real and reel lives, we go into the sensitive issue of an adopted kid," she says.
But there's more. Apparently the character Sushmita plays in Zindaggi Rocks shares many of the actress' character traits. The producer says, "This role allowed Sushmita to be more of herself than any other part so far. It shows the real-life struggle between personal and professional allegiances. It also shows the thought-processes, mind-spaces and the body language of a contemporary Indian woman. I can't think of any one except Sushmita doing the role."
The film, ready for release in October, is a full-blown musical with Sushmita performing Anu Malik's songs on stage.
Incidentally, Sushmita is very fond of singing, and is often known to burst into song at the drop of a hat.
