The actress is moonlighting as a lecturer for a radio course at Xavier's

She was the voice of the hard-to-swallow Kandy who unleashed her razor-sharp wit on tinsel town folk in the Sony show, Kandy Floss. She is also the narrator in the lifestyle show, Trendsetters, on Zee Trendz. Apart from acting and even singing lately, Suchitra Pillai is also a RJ. Now she finds herself as a guest lecturer in a radio course at the Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC).

RadioActive Pvt Ltd, a radio consultancy company, set up by Brian Tellis and Erica D'Souza, has tied up with XIC for radio training courses that include radio programming management and radio announcing and presentation. The course starts from September.
Suchitra along with the veteran Ameen Sayani launched the courses recently. "RadioActive has been setup by Brian and Erica, stalwarts in their own rights, whom I have known since my childhood days. Radio is not exactly a new medium for me as I have been doing radio shows for the last few years. But such a course helps a great deal. I wish there were such facilities available earlier; things would have been much easier when I started out a few years ago."
Musical inclinations
On the films front, Suchitra will be seen in the Hollywood production Marigold in which her song Yaara has been used as a backdrop track. She also features in Ram Gopal Varma's Shiva, PNC's Pyar Ke Side Effects, Kamal Sadanah's Karkash and Rajshri Ojha's Postcard.
"I have just recorded two tracks, one of which is being used in Marigold. I will get a clearer picture when I start recording the other tracks for an album," says Suchitra, who features in Darrshan Jariwalla's play, Your Place or Mine? She will also be seen in the Hindi version of Mahesh Dattani's play Mad About Money. Music, radio, stage, films, Suchitra seems to have conquered them all
