I agree that the children should live with Pradeep for a while to show him that he has as much a responsibility towards them as the mother. In fact the last few episodes, if you exclude the silly Anushka-harassment tactics, have focussed on this. I like that Pradeep went along with Anushka to Rano's school to apologise and did the major part of the cleaning up himself.

I agree that the kids ought not to be asked to behave like brats, but then they should not be asked to be on their best behavior either - which is what Mona did. So far I've not seen the two younger kids do anything that a child their age wouldn't do.
It is perfectly normal for a 5 yr old to request assistance with his bottoms. Such young children need adult supervision even if they are toilet trained.
Rano asking for paper and getting confused, or playing with her food is again a completely normal behavior for a 8 yr old. The girl has just had a fight in school, she's been thrown out of school and instead of being reassured and comforted she's being treated as a burden and a nuisance. Of course the child will get into behavior that attracts attention to herself.
Where the eldest girl is concerned - she's supposedly 10. Old enough to know and understand what is happening. Is it unreasonable to expect this child to be spiteful? She is going to retaliate at the person she sees as responsible for the breakup of her secure home environment.
Usually, children from broken homes are far more confused and bratty than the Singh children. Mostly, they are either totally introverted and withdraw from all social contact or they are obstinate and demanding and complete brats.
I don't think the MIL wants to drive away Anushka by asking the kids to forget their mother's instructions. She prolly just wants Anushka to realize the difference between between a full time mother and a visitor who spends 5 minutes with the kids out of an hour long visit.
