Thanks for this post.
I concur. Illa and the CVs have been totally lost when the viewers rebelled against the proposed Mandira/Rishi marraige.
They quickly came up with an absurd warp up where becuase of no reason at all, everybody in Sharma family (excepting Munna ofcourse😉) becomes decent and Indira laughs. What a piece of crock😡
Now we know it was all a quick lead up to this storyline and perhaps the entry of the copper as the main focus to restart yet another love story.
What Illa does not understand is that most of us wanted a logical progression of characters. When the story was good the trps were 2.5-2.6.
But when the story abruptly changed and we had that absurd marriage, the red saree rain dance and other such gimmicks, audience rebelled (not to mention the lack of advertising).
This last week as been even more atrocious. No wonder the trps are down. Direction is poor, characters are doing volte face without any rhyme or reason. Inder who lives and dies for Jhumpa is all of a sudden against her. We have Vidith who was presented as a "Ram" like character. All of a sudden he starts thinking with his nether regions and falls for Jhumpa's antics forgetting all teh bad she has done in front of his own eyes. We have Kutumb who never did a decent act for Indira. She is all motherly now. Why? Because Rishi promised his salary to her. But he did that and much more during the first wedding and Kutumb did not relent then. so what changed?
It all goes back to "Zindagi jang hai" and Indira to be constantly miserable
Illa could have shown this jang in a much more adult and sophisticated manner. Separation, anguish and growth could have been shown in an interesting manner.
But Illa is choosing the gimmicky route - be it the hasty marraige with some "inshi" scenes, some sexy red saree in rain dance etc. Now it is the new copper. Gimmicky all the way
