We should carry on this struggle on the lines of strict non-violence, i.e., by suffering in our own persons ...The question is whether you are capable of every suffering that may be imposed upon you...in the journey towards the goal.

At the City Hospital, Bhopal, Arti stands up to Rangoli's bullying and retorts - you must regret that Puja is alive!. When Rangoli turns towards Arti, her guard politely gives her pause, reminding her that Daddaji would be upset if she reacted. Neverthless, Rangoli walks up to Arti and responds that both Puja Tiwari as well as Rangoli Pandey share a broken boat (😲) - BBP. Rangoli says that her own situation has made her empathize with Puja. When Arti (our Pachmarhi warrior princess) responds that Puja is fighting death; Rangoli retorts that she is fighting for her life and her pain mirrors Puja's! Puja is recovering, albeit slowly. Rangoli gets a call from Daddaji and walks off as Arti looks on. Rangoli relays some news over the phone to Daddaji - it is bad news, Puja is alive after all.
At the Haveli, Daddaji relays the news to Giridhar and BBP 😕 that Puja is alive after the operation. Though she was out of danger, they were now in a precarious situation. Impassively, BBP asks if she is conscious. Daddaji says no, but when she did gain consciousness, she would spill the beans. BBP and Giridhar start quarreling. Giridhar furiously starts blaming BBP, saying once Puja gained consciousness; she would tell the whole world that the future CM was playing a "Raas Leela" with her. BBP retorts - Puja might gain consciousness later, but Giridhar had already compounded the issue by spreading gossip about Puja. Giridhar responds that the entire problem had been started by BBP. Daddaji steps in to calm them down and says that they would have to be extremely cautious. BBP says that the elections were just around the corner and that any action they took would have to be immediate. He picks up the phone to talk to someone turning away from Daddaji and Giridhar.
At the City Hospital, Sumitra and Arti (in the company of Krish and Bhavna) worry that Puja had still not been brought out of the operating theater (OT). Sumitra says that when she saw Puja the last time, she never thought they would meet the next time in a hospital. Arti comforts her says that they would have to rally courage. Suddenly, the OT doors open and Puja is rolled out. The policeman Govind Shankar (GS) and his team prevent the Tiwaris, Krish and Bhavana from coming close to the Puja. Even when Arti protests, GS derisively dismisses her. When Krish steps in to protest, he too is shot down with some darkly comic lines. When Arti asks what his problem was, GS responds that this was a criminal case and they did not want anyone interacting with Puja to influence her testimony when she gained consciousness. This guy has some seriously but darkly comic bhaiyyaji type lines that are worth listening to (the nuances would be lost in translation, hence I am not risking it here). When Sumitra begs to see her daughter, GS stops her very rudely, physically intercepting her with his baton and yelling at her. First he rebukes her for having abandoned her daughter and then for raising her voice in a hospital where other patients might be disturbed. Krish looks upset. Continuing with his boorish behavior, GS yells at the hospital staff who are gawking at the entire interchange and they quickly roll Puja's gurney away. GS tells Sumitra facetiously that he respected mothers and hence was feeling sentimental; he would keep updating her but he could not let her see Puja. GS and his retinue follow Puja and the hospital staff leaving Arti, her mother and friends in the corridor.
Arti asks Sumitra to go home for Harivansh. She also says that he should not be told about Puja. Bhavana offers to drop her home. Sumitra expresses her desire to see Puja at least once. Arti takes her to Puja's room where they are able to see her unconscious body through a glass panel in the door.
When Sumitra returns to the Tiwaris' modest home, Harivansh is at standing at the door. Silently, but determinedly he walks out. Bhavna points towards a news paper with Puja's picture under some headlines. Sumitra realizes that Harivansh must have found out about Puja's shooting. Sumitra and Bhavna run out after him.
Arti paces the hospital corridor. When she tries to go into Puja's room, she is prevented by constable on duty. Standing at the door she recalls Rangoli's words in the corridor and also her words from the Gwalior kidnapping - when she had gritted out to the mistakenly kidnapped Arti that she was furious that she had snared the wrong prey. Arti then realizes that Rangoli was the one behind the kidnapping.
Meanwhile Krish turns up with the Dainik Jagran, a news paper that shows that GS has solved Arti's shooting as a robbery. Arti is bewildered and says the news is false and she would not let this injustice on Puja prevail. When Krish enquires about whether Arti knows who might be behind the shooting, she says no, but she is sure it was not a robbery. She had been the first to arrive at the scene and at that time, there had been no signs of a robbery. Krish looks startled (!!) . Arti asks Krish to handle the situation while she goes out to fight the injustice of the news. Krish agrees and asks Arti not to let injustice happen to Puja.
At a police station, GS is holding forth to the media about the alleged "robbery" at Puja's house. He tells them that when he arrived at the scene of the crime, he realized that the main door had been broken open and the house was in chaos. The victim was lying in a pool of blood. Arti (who magically knows about GS's whereabouts) walks into the press conference accusing GS of lying. GS scratches his head at this new turn of events. Arti (oh my this one has some cojones) confronts an open mouthed GS and loudly tells him off ' a robber would not have emptied 6 bullets but an assassin would have. Her sister had been murdered. When the media asks her questions, she responds that she had come here to speak to GS. GS tries to stall by asking her to wait, he would be with her shortly. But a reporter intercepts, telling them to have the conversation in front of the media. GS gives some unfunny comic line about Arti perhaps wanting to invite him to a birthday party. Hearing this Arti assertively and loudly retorts that she was here to talk about her sisters shooting which she thinks was an attempted murder and not a robbery. Puja had told her on the phone that some thugs had broken into the house. GS responds that was exactly what he was saying. Arti says but no lock was broken and things were not scattered in the house, only the door upstairs was broken and that is where Puja had been shot. As the situation devolves into you said- she said the media reporters frantically take notes.
GS asks her what she saw at the scene of the crime. Arti says she immediately called for an ambulance. He then goes on to tell her that in her distress, she may not have seen the perpetrators who might have been hiding. Arti refuses to back off saying the six bullets indicate assassins, not thieves. The media of course is excitedly recording the interchange.Precap: A couple of scenes. Arti confronts a gulping BBP, telling him that he has no idea to what extent she would be willing to crusade for justice for her sister. At the haveli, Daddaji tells BBP that he must take care of the Puja matter. BBP tells Daddaji that it was not Puja but Arti who was the more immediate threat. Daddaji asks that they tighten the reins on her. BBP looks towards ?.
