i agree this the best thriller i ever witness as far as indian soap are concern...many soaps start up with promise that it is a thriller but ended as saas bahu ki kahani but skpm live up to what it promise a political thriller.
I personally think that many of the Saas-Bhau and candy floss romance genre on several other channels are actually done really well. There are sincere artists, great performances and I laud an industry that has given talent an opportunity. But there is little diversity in the themes and some of the plots are decidedly inane. These genres are not my cup of tea but I see many of my family engrossed in them. And the major thing is like any nautanki, these serials becomes a social exercise. The living room in the house becomes the peanut gallery and it is great fun to participate.
SKBM however is very niched, it does not lend itself to "family entertainment". And only the insane like us want to think so much 😆😆 as compared to the regular crowd that wants to watch the serials for relaxing!. Life Ok seems to be experimenting with some offbeat themes. But what i would like to see this channel encourage is small budget TV-movies. Something akin (but not exactly the same) to what lifetime does. ...or even in a teleserial format (like merlin or enterprise). This is probably where they can best show the "triumph over uber negativity' and showcase some lesser known professionals in the industry...
