Eisha Singh, who is currently seen in Colors TV’s Naagin 7 and Laughter Chefs 3, is all set to bid farewell to the former. Known largely for portraying relatable girl next door characters throughout her career, the actress surprised audiences by embracing a more glamorous avatar in Naagin 7. Her transformation quickly became a talking point, with her presence dominating social media platforms.

India Forums caught up with Eisha Singh for an exclusive conversation, where she spoke about the overwhelming love she has received for Naagin 7, her glam transformation, and much more.

Given the massive following of the show and the love the earlier seasons had received, did the pressure of ratings ever pound the cast?

I don’t think so. We were all quite confident from the beginning. There was never any discussion about how it would turn out. While shooting the scenes, we could sense that it would do well because we were genuinely enjoying the process. The story is very different this time, with new elements like dragons, and the use of AI is impressive. So overall, we felt confident that this was something fresh. It has no connection with the previous seasons. Those seasons were fantastic and performed really well in their own time. But Naagin 7 is completely new and refreshing, with many additional elements. That’s why we never spoke about ratings or took any pressure. We were all very positive and confident throughout.

While the show has been the talk of the town ever since its announcement, your entry in the show, more importantly, your glam avatar has dominated social media, it is everywhere, tell us about that?

I will be very honest, I was quite sceptical before saying yes. Of course, I have had my association and experience with Balaji and Colors, but I had never done a cameo role before. Something like this, especially the hot avatar and all of that, is not really my thing. I have mostly played the girl next door, very simple characters, or roles rooted in specific themes. There has always been a social cause or a strong message at the core of my shows. You know my body of work. This, however, felt completely new. I am always nervous before starting anything. I think that is just how I am. But the love I have received has been overwhelming. There were so many reels and so much appreciation on social media. I feel incredibly blessed and grateful. I am truly happy to be a part of this beautiful show.

This was also I believe the first time that you have sported such an out and out glamorous look for a show, given the response, have your pre requisites for upcoming characters changed?

Honestly, I always want to take up something new, something I have never done before. Playing Ananta was completely different for me, as I had never portrayed a character like this. She is someone who is aware of herself, confident, and carries a strong presence. I have always believed that I am not someone who looks hot, but hearing people say that I am looking good felt really nice. It gave me a sense of confidence. Hot might be a big word, but it did make me feel good. I enjoy challenging myself with roles I have not explored before, and this was definitely one such character. That is why I am so happy to have taken it up.

Lastly, your cameo on the show is almost over now, tell us about ur experience on the show and what is in store for Naagin fans and also, will u be making a comeback?

I think the cameo is almost over. It has been a beautiful experience, and I am truly glad to be a part of this show. I keep saying this because I have met some of the most amazing people here. It is the biggest franchise on Colors, and being associated with such a wonderful show, backed by a strong production house and Ekta ma’am, feels really special. I genuinely feel blessed. There are many things lined up, and there is something I am currently working on that is very close to my heart. It is kind of my dream project and will be out very soon. I am not allowed to talk much about it right now, but you will know very soon.
