do u really think that people like Sindhiya's who r very orthodox, conservative can set an example of PUNARVIVAH??? i think only broadminded & social people can set an examples, not like Sindhiya's. if that type of people take any step like this. this is only their selfish decision. they just want to fulfill their needs by doing PUNARVIVAH. their is no other exceptional thought behind it. and that is not at all set an example type of attitude. especially i am saying abt senior members of Sindhiya family. bcs this type of marriages happened before also in many states. but they r just 4 their convenience.
i think people like Dubey's can set an example. bcs they r really broadminded, thoughtful, social kind of people. but not d mr & mrs Sindhiya. ya may be young generation is different from them. all 3 brothers & Vidhi,Aarti,Paridhi & children.
so i am not totally convinced abt story line, if d name of this show is unique then why not d other things also?? especially typical saas bahu drama they must have to change & old outdated customs also. r u people agree with me????

I agree about the scindhias aditi. But there are such people in real lives .The world is full of hypocrisy, and frankly, people like Shobha Dubey are rare to find. So, no matter how much we despise the Scindhias, the fact is that we r more likely to encounter people like them than the Dubeys. The cvs hv chosen a different concept. But just think, had they shown the senior Scindhias as perfectly large-hearted people, after 3 mnths, we would hardly hv any story left! I think the cvs r doing this realistically,. Punar Vivah is a great step. and while on one hand they hv shown how the Dubeys took this step for their daughter in law's good , on the other, they r depicting the selfish and hypocritical attitude of the Scindhias...as they say, there r two sides of every coin...
While Yash, Aarti, Shobha, can act as torchbearers to the society, we also need to know that ppl like the senior Scindhias will always be there as obstacles. The best part of the show is, even Yash and Aarti who r the protagonists have not been shown incapable of commiting mistakes. every character is human here. No one is God. thats why I love the show.

Completely agree with you Ria, this is show where we can see some real people. When the characters are more real and not God, always there is room for development and evolution of the character.

ya agree with u Ria that People like Sindhiyas r really present in our society. & if i am not wrong 90% people like Sindhiyas only. but that is d my main point. why r they showing which is already known & happened in real society. see they r media people& they r connected with thousands or more than that of people.and they have that power, option and right to show something better, different & which will really help pepole to move on. something which is very new, unknown but positive & acceptable. why r they showing saas bahus tyical relation. & that old outdated customs??? why people can't think beyond this typical mentality & old ghisepite customs & rituals??? i am not saying that all customs & rituals r hopeless or outdated. but most of these r really outdated. especially that ghungat pratha. why all restrictions r for women only???? don't u think this is injustice for women????

I understand what u r saying aditi, but i remember before the show started, the cvs and even Gurmeet said in his interviews that this show wasn't about preaching what is right and wrong, this is about two people who hv the strength to gv their lives a second chance, so really, its about yash and aarti and their characters...Scindhias and ppl like them r the obstacles in their paths...the cvs r deliberately showing reality. Like u said, many customs r outdated, but they exist in our society. The show is dealing with these problems. With time we will see both yash and Aarti protesting against these age old customs.and the namechange will be the first issue I feel! so don't worry, we will get al positive things in the show but gradually. or else the show will be over within 6 mnths.we don't want that, rt?😛

ya i know they r showing reality in this show. but they can show good, positive, improved things. which will help to change peoples typical, conservative mentality. at least i think so.

@aditibd, but how can you show something better or different or something that will help people move on if they don't show how people can move on. How can they show a possible solution to something when they don't show the problem. As audience, if we want to see Yash and Aarti fighting against society's prejudices and stereotypes against remarriage then they have to show us audience what those prejudices and stereotypes are, right?
