Hey guys! So sorry ! Due to some personal problems I couldn't update !
But here I am finally.. almost after 2 weeks! Now I promise to give you a minimum of 2 updates a week... remember I hve another FF to update too.. pls show some mercy 😛

PART 15
His hands caressed her waist while her hands stroked his back as she peacefully rested her head on his chest. Passion was flaring up. She felt an urge to feel him, sense him, taste him. She was lying in the arms of the man she loved. She wanted to be caressed, to be loved.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes in both of its meanings. His eyes widened as he got back to his senses and realised what he was doing. She felt his hands loosen their grip on her waist. She felt his uneasiness and slowly withdrew her hands from his back. She gently lifted her head from his chest and looked up at him. She saw confusion, turmoil and shock in his eyes.
'So this was not for real', she thought.
They both were staring right into each other's eyes, she with awe and he with shock. He suddenly looked away and almost pushed her away.
She stared at him with bewilderment with a glint of pain in her eyes while he cast her a look of indifference and anger. He quietly took his blanket and laid on his couch facing his back to her.
Arnav was fighting hard inside. He didn't understand why he was reacting like this. He couldn't define what he was feeling inside. He didn't want his inner desires to rule him. He wanted to rule over his desires. How could he .. How could he touch Khushi like that? How could he break the rules he had only laid when Khushi entered the room as his supposed wife. He wanted to get rid of this inner turmoil. He shut his eyes forcefully, but her image flashed in front of him.
Khushi ~ the girl who made him learn to love unconditionally, the girl who broke him to pieces, the girl who gave him a new hope and happiness in his dead life, the girl who ruined his sister's life, the girl for whom he could do anything, the girl who played with his emotions...
Khushi just stood there, heartbroken once again. She felt miserable as if someone used and threw her. Dejected, she retired to her bed. As she lay down, memories flashed in front of her...
Her hugging Arnav in the hospital pleading for strength and hope, Arnav taking care of her in Nainital, Arnav removing fairy lights from her body, their almost kiss on Diwali, their dance on Sangeet, Arnav gifting her bangles...
She gulped the lump in her throat as she looked at those beautiful bangles on her hand.. which once brought a smile to her face... and now brought only pain...
She wiped off the drop of tear that just dripped from her eyes with her fingers. Her thoughts were roaming wayward.
'What happened to that man who almost died when he thought that I had an accident, who gifted me bangles just to see me happy, who became a waiter just to lend me a hand', she thought. The water had gone above the head. She had to do something, she decided as she forced herself to sleep.

He gently opened his eyes to witness the morning light falling on him. He looked out of the window. There was some difference in the weather that day. The sun was hiding behind the grey clouds who stared at him angrily. He was getting this feeling that something was going to happen, something intense. He quickly turned to check if she was okay. Yes, she was. He heaved a sigh of relief as she saw her peaceful figure lying on his bed. He walked towards her and placed his hands on her cheek. He quickly withdrew his hand, curling his eye brows. He placed the back of his hand on her forehead now.
"Oh my god! She is burning!", he exclaimed.
