OMG what an emotional episode it was. 😭
I read a few posts where ppl have painted Ahem as a monster so this post is in his defense. I'm ready for all the brickbats & rotten tomatoes. First hear me out😳
Ahem Modi a man self-hood. He is an an astute businessman. Who is very self motivated, very hard working & no nonsense person. He is arrogant and hotheaded. The presence of a strong & smart mom & good for nothing, useless poet Dad made him what he is today. Has been brought up by his Mom with lot of love affection & attention. He thinks he can make no mistakes...He is the BEST!! He has been taught to think only about himself. What happens when you think only about yourself? We become SELFISH!! We learn to be selfish by the way we were raised, and what made an impact in our life while growing up. So if you see Ahem's past...lazy dad who did nothing for his family & he saw his smart mom getting humiliated in front of the family for no fault of hers... this made him arrogant & rebellious. But his love and respect for his mom was immense... he actually worshiped his MOM. So when his mom asked him to Marry Gopi he married her, to please his Mom. No questions asked or answered he followed her instructions and pleased her. And in the process broke his then sweetheart Anita's heart. He felt bad and sad but did not know how to handle the situation and yelled and told her to practically get lost from his life. He had hurt her badly. Did he do justice to Anita then? Was he right in directing all his anger towards Anita? Why could he have not dealt with her calmly and apologized to her? He did what he did at that time was coz of his arrogance and madness.
Cut to present...why is he teary eyed today seeing Anita getting married? Is he upset seeing her tying knot with somebody else? Is he dreaming about his life with Anita? Is he repenting on his loss of first love? Poor Ahem and his knotty trouble😭
The answer is an EMPHATIC NO!! He is upset and sad today as he is man full of love and compassion. Thanks to Gopi Ahem is a changed man 😳. Gopi, is absolutely intact in his heart. There is no room for doubt there. Today seeing Anita in front of him he is realizing that how much he has been selfish and unjust to Anita. Ahem is a ordinary man who has normal weaknesses, vulnerabilities and insecurities-no matter how much he may wish to hide these inadequacies from Gopi and his family but he is very soft from inside. Today he wished that he was some genetically modified human so he would have been able to deal with this phase of reality too.
Today he wants to apologize to Anita to free himself from the guilt. And just wants to start with Gopi on a clean slate. He has to do this for his own sanity and well being. But this apology will lead to the accident on the alter and take Anita right into his guest bedroom. Sure Apology was quite powerful, risky and necessary part for the serial to drag a little😕
I know I'll be in the minority for supporting Ahem as most of you here are sympathizing with Gopi, but I actually sympathize a lot more with Ahem right now. The man is a complete wreck.😭 Is life fair to him?
