guys, i have to know that...

since the last days i am rewatching the show and today i came across the shaadi.

so abhi tak i didnt get, why ASR didnt fake the shaadi? why did he go to the mandir, put on sindoor and mangalsutra to khushi..

i know, he said to khushi, yeh tumhaare liye bohot maiyne rakhti hain... but to blackmail her, he just could force to fake it... sahi shadi mandir mein karane ki to koi zaroorat nahin thi...

i know, why the CVs did that. coz jab shaadi sahi mein hoti hai, chahe force karke, to woh rahti hai... itne to shows dekh chuki hun...

but why ASR did it? what was in HIS MIND??? 😕

Khushi values marriage a lot.. So she would not run away and will be bound to him, no matter what..

May be ASR was thinking this.. and its star plus.. they will not fake somethin like marriage on a show that airs at 8 pm

My take is that CVs simply wanted to follow the SP tradition of not having unmarried lead couple living together. So even though the marriage is for 6 months, and lead couple are supposed to hate each other, if Arnav put sindoor and mangalsutra on Khushi in temple, then that gives a sort of legitimacy to the scenes where he is roaming around shirtless around her, all these rabba ves and them sleeping together, platonic of course, in the same room and on the lounger.

I think the thinking might have been that this gives CVs freedom to throw in consummation stuff later on since the two leads are married, and therefore will not offend anyone's sensibilities. Bit of convoluted thinking, but perhaps in the Indian context not that far off.

Or perhaps, a simpler answer might be that CVs really had no clue what they wanted to do. If you remember, the six month clause was also added on later in the dialogs.😆

because in the back of his head, he wanted khushi to be his and SOLELY HIS!
He knows the value khushi holds of marriage and knows that khushi can't think of anybody else other than him.. not even, of who he thinks is her lover, shyam.

ASR feels that would hurt her more than anything (not being able to think of the man she loves)

This is the only way he can protect his sister... by faking a wedding, khushi would've still been strong but he wanted to break her--and for a lil bit, he did... but what he didn't realize is that buaji's sanka devi is headstrong and ready to fight! =D

because he knew that Khushi would never under any circumstances agree to live with him outside of marriage...
that and that marriage holds a lot of importance in her eyes and so he could "break" her by compelling her to go against what she values most...

this is such a good Qu!!!

maybe deep down he knows he loves her and can never let her become someone's wife just like the time he found out she was engaged to someone he just couldn't take it

If Shyam was having an affair with some random woman, I don't think Arnav would just go off and marry her. He got married for real ONLY because it's Khushi and he's in love with her and can't bear the thought of her with another man. So that was his way of keeping Khushi apart from Shyam. It doesn't make much sense now since they all live in the same house but ASR doesn't make sense when he's angry 😉
