Did we not see that pattern during Independence war and today too.😕

to me Baghat sing was murdered, Bose was killed and even Shastriji's death is still mystery. how can he just die in Tashkant😕

Sowmya; It is one thing to have an advisory cirtificate and restrict viewrship of movie...it is altogather a different thing for the governing body to tell people what they can or cannot say on their own time. Just because there is freedom, it does not mean that gore and smut is all that will be produced...but when ruling class atarts telling poeple what they cannot say and can dictate that, people's life can be ruined and souls can be crushed. As Osho had pointed out there was no Tolstoy or Dostovoyesky that came out of Russia after it became Communist...Soltzenisyn (I hope I spelled that right) did but he had to defact. Speach is the only thing that levels the ground between 'haves' and 'Have nots'. Almost all riligious scriptures, almost every menifest of a any nation's stuggle for independence and in middle ages even many scintific discovaries were subject to suppresion by one ruling government or other...right now there are people in USA who would rather see people like Stephen Hawkins and Charles Darwin and their lifetime of work obliterated from people's minds and what they have to say is nothing vulger or violent or offensive! I once heard interview of a man who was imprisoned for four years with his brother and two other friends (The other three did not make it for 4 years in torture) just for making jokes about Saddam in the privacy of their home! Ok; hear is a light twist on this issue: An American boasts to a Chinese that he can stand on Washington mall and yell at the top of his lung that George Bush is an Idiot. The CHinese guy says: that is really nothing, I too can stand in the middle of the Tiannamen Square and Scream at the top of my lungs that George Bush is an idiot!

I agree abhijit, specially the twist you told. I agree with you that one should be entitled to their freedom of spech in their small group in house or something, but anything public speech or related to public "janta" i think should be restricted. It wouldbe kind of dictatorship when you try to crush soul or their belief and let them now discuss with their group, But something like M.F. Hussain paintings about targeting religious figure should be stopped..but then it is gain like you said....An American boasts to a Chinese that he can stand on Washington mall and yell at the top of his lung that George Bush is an Idiot. The CHinese guy says: that is really nothing, I too can stand in the middle of the Tiannamen Square and Scream at the top of my lungs that George Bush is an idiot! it all boil downs in there.

I have not read whole debate and could not follow everything, so sorry if my idea was repeated. 😊
