Hello,
So this is an episode discussion thread for the April 14th episode. Please contribute.
Well, I thought this sur-taal concept was good in theory. However, this episode was still pretty boring minus Raghav's performance mostly. I just think it was a challenge for the contestants to perform to live singing because it's so unpredictable. Plus once again, only Terence took advantage of this concept the fullest. In Geeta and Remo's acts...it wasn't really a jugalbandi...the two participants were just doing their thing separately. There was hardly any connection. Lame, half-baked job by Geeta and Remo once again. 👎🏼
Pradeep: He was decent...but I don't think this was his best. I liked the song choice and even the choreography was good with the puppet bit and all. And I liked that bit where Pradeep comes out of that puppet mode and the singer (sorry I forget his name now 😳) commented on Pradeep being free to dance now or something. 😆 A creative way to connect the singer and dancer by Terence there. But I just felt that Pradeep didn't really go full out in this performance. He was kind of low on energy in some bits maybe. And I think it was just the transition from the bollywood to hip-hop that wasn't done perfectly. Something was amiss for me with Pradeep today. Though he was still much better than most other contestants, sad to say.
Sanam: LOL I found this kind of funny...because there was absolutely NO connect between the music and the dancing. 😕😆 I have no idea what the heck Sanam was doing because it did not connect with the music at all! But that singer Kamal Khan was really good. I even liked the other punjabi song Sanam and him sang together. It was really soothing to hear. The performance by Sanam though wasn't that great. But I did think Sanam's twirl bit was pretty well done. It's just that his performance did not go with the music AT ALL. Sanam's just a confused dancer overall. I just wish the judges wouldn't hype him so much because it's not fair to him. He deserves to hear proper feedback...because otherwise it's NO wonder he's not improving! Gahh!
Raghav: OMG thank goodness for this guy yaar! I loved his performance. Got me excited the only time while watching this episode. It was so awesome! And comparatively even more so because the rest of the episode was so sleep inducing. 😆 I LOVED the song choice! And that kid singer was SOOO good!!! Seriously, the best singer in this episode hands down. Now here was an ACTUAL jugalbandi..these two had awesome connect. And I'm just amazed at how Raghav managed to incorporate his style into THIS song??!! Seriously, he can move/adapt his style and his creativity to any type of music! That is what keeps his acts from getting repetitive for me despite him doing the same kind of moves. And Raghav's expressions were just oh so much fun to watch. He was FULLY into the performance...he was having fun so I'd totally appreciate that. And the kid too...was having so much fun. I loved the creativity with which Raghav used the lyrics/music once again. He's just a treat to watch..and the moments of his personality we get to see after his performances are what bring life into this show...despite this season being a drag overall. He's got tons of spirit. I loved his bonding with the kid too...ohh mann so sorry I'm forgetting his name too...Amzad or something? But he was super cute. 😆 Loved the way Raghav couldn't help giving him kisses and being affectionate and all. I could totally see Raghav choreographing for the Little masters...he'd be awesome with the kids. lol
Abhik: Hmm...I didn't like it too much. Firstly, I love this song way too much and I really haven't seen a single dance performance as yet that has done full justice to it. Mayuresh in season one came close...but his blindfold concept didn't fully go with the song. Kruti during DKS failed execution wise even though her concept was pretty powerful. Abhik's dancing didn't really do justice to the song either. And neither did the singing in fact. I didn't think that singer was that good for this song. He didn't really have that kind of soul/passion in his voice that this song requires. And Geeta's choreography was SO damn literal! Like literally doing the phoonk steps and the snake "dasne" type steps. It was too boring to watch. And so Abhik was also expression on the literal choreography only. He wasn't expressing to the DEPTH in the song. Hence his performance also came out superficial...which is so disappointing considering he is one of the rare fab dancers of this season. Honestly, you need a really powerful performance to do justice to this song...it's quite a challenge. Anyways, this wasn't a great performance dancing, singing or choreography wise.
Rajasmitha: Ok can someone please explain to me WHAT the point of that snow effect was? 😕 Seriously Geeta would you just STOP with your stupid gimmicks already? And manage to choreograph some actual dancing for once? I thought this performance was lame all around. Dancing, singing and choreography wise, once again. And I'm just sick of this Rajasmitha "dark horse" crap! Yes, she was a dark horse to look out for at one point...but she didn't really live up to that as the season progressed. And she's frankly, not that great of a dancer. I am now just convinced about that. She needs some more training. Anyways, she's totally going to win regardless so whatever. Why am I even khapaoing my dimaag? Next season please. 🥱
Mohena: Same old, same old...I'm sick of criticizing her now. She's just plain lame, blah and totally SUPERFICIAL in her dancing. And those WEIRD faces she makes while dancing...really puts me off. THANK GOD for Terence FINALLY criticizing her! Ahhh music to my ears! That girl who was singing though was really sweet.
Overall, not a great pre-finale episode at all. I am only tuning into this show for Raghav, (maybe Pradeep)...and Terence now. Don't care about anything else. 🥱😆
