In short if you ask me about today's episode... Yes it was a filler episode but at the same time they brought out many issues which could escalate in to a problem at later stage...
First the Bidai scene and touching of every one's feet was per the custom. Also Gaytri's introduction of New Bahu's to that Dadima figure.. I think she is not actually related to them but she has kind of position as an elder in the family..
Aarti did Pranam showing respect in a right manner but Praidhi did not follow the custom. It did not get unnoticed by the MIL and she comes right away to the new bahu putting the stamp of her authority telling her she did not follow the right custom..
At this point I do not blame Gayatri for chiding Paridhi at this moment. It was a simple touching of the feet of the elder and it had to be done respectfully and in certian manner. It is not that Parhidhi did not know how to do it as just after the pheras she did it perfectly when they went to ask the blessings of her FIL and MIL. She did bend down completely and took their blessings. It was just that she did not feel like bending too much to this unknown lady even though earlier her elders Yash and Aarti paid their respect to this lady. even her husand did the same but she did not do it and Ma Gaytri thought to chide this attitude right there so it would not be repeated at later stage. Pratik also saw and heard it and did not say a word...
Yes they have brought this bahu from a very modern family for whom traditions do not have uttermost important. But Pratik should have made her understand the traditional ways of his family to his modern wife. He himself was feeling uncomfortable when his to be FIL presented him with the wine bottle in shagun. So knowing the cultural difference he should have let Paridhi know about the traditions of his family as Paridhi will be staying with his family and not vice versa...
Mr Schindhia tolerated all the modern behavior and talk from Pridhi's father as it was temporary thing for him and he will not have to deal with them too much later on.. He also gave a look to Pratik when he was behaving so in love "look and talk" with Paridhi in the wedding mandap. So Pratik knows very well how his family behaves and how his mom and dad will look at certain things in certain ways.. Of couse he would not have any idea as Paridhi would not know how to touch feet as it is the basic custom to show the respect to the elders of the family.
Yes Paridhi had all liberty to do as she wished and to go as she wished but she is getting married in a very well known traditional family and she should have followed the custom of her new family. Her very frank and open minded behavior is not going to work in this house. As also we see that she does not think twice to pull the cotton on someone's eyes the way she told lies to make Aarti go for the bachelor's party. She even added the lie that Yash was the one who is doing the most Dhamal. Yes it was done in a jest but that is not going to work in this house hold. Her parents and Pratik thinks the sun rises and set on Paridhi but she will be in a great cultural and traditional shock with the gruhapravesh itself... Pratik who has very openly expressed his love and have let her do what she wanted will not be able to utter a word in the presence of his father and mother.. I think it will be Yash who will always step in to solve any probelm
As for Schindhia family the traditions and rituals have significant important. Gayatri and Vidhi both follow traditions and rituals. As they have a different status in the society and Papa Schindhia never want to tarnish his image of a perfectly balanced family in the society. It is very important to him that each and every family member behaves rightly in public and no one can raise any finger at him or the prestige of his family..
And in all these he uses his forgetful wife to run his family with a strict discipline, He always issues order to his wife to oversees everything so that it runs smoothly per his standard. Though Gayatri has her own way to run her family but I do not think she is like a bad wicked sasu...
Her demand regarding Ansh...
From the beginning Gayatri had the reservations for Aarti. She wanted a girl and not a mother for her son Yash. But Pratik pointed out few facts and she was ready to bring Aarti but not Ansh.. At that time Yash step forward and made a solid argument why they cannot ask for this type of condition and Papa Schindhia had to agree as at that time he could see the valid reason in the argument and his main goal was to ready Yash for this wedding.
But today the behavior of Aarti to run to Ansh proved Gayatri's point in front of Papa Schindhia. The buva also added fuel and Papa Schindhia who also looked vary with all the happenings with Aarti just allowed Gayatri to do as she wishes as he did not want to confront The Dubeys again.
First of all the children were left alone to play by themselves.. Yes everyone was busy with rituals but it was the responsibilities of Dubeys to keep an eye on Ansh as he being their grandson or Manshi should have taken that responsibilities as there were no one was their except these three on Aarti's side as Aarti was busy in her own wedding rituals.
Yes Aarti is a mother and for her the uttermost important is always going to be Ansh but this is also a fact that Ansh needs some discipline. He is a child but he always crosses his limit in speaking out of turn and behaves childishly rude with elders.
When the Schindhia went for the Shagun He just behaved rudely with Gaaytri and answered her back in everything.
Aarti her self was feeling uncomfortable looking at the expression of all and she had to keep on telling him son do not behave in this manner did I teach you this way???
He always has a habit of speaking out of turn...
he is just a kid so where did he get this liberty to talk this way??
Yes he is an innocent kid and People think he is cute but no it is not cute all the time.
He called Gayatri -- a fat Dadi when she came to tell Shobha about Kanyadan issue..
He gave ultimatum not to get ready if the doors are opened and made the future MIL wait on the door. Then shobha chided Ansh telling him oh we cannot say things like that and ask forgiveness from Gayatri for making her wait at the door... why because a 5 year old kid said so...
Yes Yash's daughters also made their faces at Aarti but we have to remember that they do not have a mother. More over that buva may be making them prejudice against the new mom. As they were ok with her at the mall but then at the second meeting they started to make faces at her.
Yes the demand of Gaytri is totally unreasonable but at the same time she needs to keep an order in her household per the standard of her husband who is demanding and very autocratic. With each encounter with that little boy of Aarti, Gaytri's impression about his unruly behavior is more solidified and thus resulted in this decision. Until now Papa Schindhia just did not mind and kept his smiled plastered for Ansh but today the way Aarti ran dragging her wedding dupatta with her in front of all the elders and guests made Papa Schindhia more upset than ever and his impression of Aarti went down another notch and so he did not care how Gayatri brings Aarti under her command as she would be the one who will be dealing with them in day to day basis...
Of course this is all shown to bring the show at the point of Gaytri's demand and the may be Yash's overrulling it
My point was only this that the demand of Gayatri is totally unreasonable but at the same time it has a truth in it. But also she is using this as an excuse to do as she wishes.. But I am sure Yash will not allow that if he comes to know about it..
Another thing was confrontation of Aarti and Dubeys...
Here also Aarti takes the opportunity to tell Dubeys what she thinks of them in no nonsense way.. She gives Dubeys back the same medicine Papa Dubey gave her regarding the "repaying of Debt" Though she says she is not that selfish that she will not pay the debt but she was pretty outspoken to tell him on his face that he has taken advantage of her with this "repaying Debt" theory. She tells them that for her they made their son dead so now she is under their debt and she is so indebted that she will do everything they will tell and be a robot in their hands. She is also hurt that how could Dubeys give in to the demand of not taking Ansh with her as he is her life and she possibly cannot go without her Ansh. But Papa Dubey promised Gayatri and she knew that now he will forced that decision down her throat too...
Yes I know she is totally hurt and totally devastated and her hurt is outpouring and so in return she is hurting them too with her speech. Here also I see the relationship of a daughter and parents and not the DIL and in-laws.. She has full liberty to tell them that they did wrong by putting that "Debt" thing over her head and they have broken her trust in that.
So even though it was a filler episode but many things were brought in the open..
Gayatri's reservation about Ansh... At last she got what she wanted from her husband..
Papa Schindhia saw all the drama being played and his sister's talk with his wife and he thought let Gayatri handle this as he possibly cannot interfere in every little details and he just walked off as right now "Ansh" issue was not important to him at this time.
Buva is a typical negative role but she must have lost everything when her husband died and she is too jealous about Aarti getting the 2nd chance. I would not wonder if she is the one who breaks the news of Aarti being not widow at a later stage... as she will be keeping her eyes and ears open to find faults with Aarti...
So now with all these Chaos let's see what our Yashbabu does and how he starts fulfilling his promises to abide in everything by his wife...
