True guys, I do agree about the fact that Swaron were supposed to be the parallel leads on this show...at least that's how it must have been planned.
But...a huge "but" entered this equation 😭
In this post, I was actually being sarcastic about the "second lead" thing... as in, that is the kind of treatment our Swaron have been getting lately - in fact even worse. So I sardonically said that chalo theek hai, even if it has to be second-leads, at least give them that much onscreen importance! We get to see so many scenes with Swayam and Sharon individually...its not like they are not available to shoot. But their story is just not progressing one bit. Only moving back and forth like a pendulum - once bright, once sad...and back.
That's not how a relationship progression is shown. And please don't insult a fan's intelligence by still sticking to all the look n hawa, constant bickering, and some occasional passionate dance sequences. That was ok initially...but are you trying to tell us that Swaron are so shallow?
Cant they have a normal, vulnerable conversation once? Cant they just hangout sometime without any ego baggages? Cant they just be, without fighting/taunting each other? I mean that development needs to be shown by now. And progression does not mean we show an understanding Swaron scene once, and a completely harsh reaction from either of the couple a while later. The growth needs to be shown more realistically and maturely...I mean that's what you writers are getting paid for dude!
Its been so long since the Dazzling - Weakling divide has faded. And that old-classroom proposal is ancient now. Then why does Sharon still hold these up sometimes out of the blue, and that too specifically against Swayam alone?
In fact, abhi toh Kriyaansh scene me hai bhi nahi...Kriya has LEFT, and new girl aa bhi gayi. Us beech me bhi...nothing. They had the time to give us some important Swaron moments. But no. Still the Swaron story continues to get back seat treatment...even worse...
I wont be surprised if they now start showing episodes full of SwaNi bonding suddenly...
Look, I have absolutely nothing against the new girl, in fact I think she's pretty cute and giving an earnest performance. But at least, had she been introduced as a family friend or a buddy instead of a sister...we could have expected some crackling Sharon jealousy moments... but no. That has been killed for us too.
