Were the original names different?

I was just watching a video and then went back to few articles and realised that the original names of the characters of Yash and Aarti were Siddharth and Smriti...Is that correct?

Though Yash and Aarti are nice names, I wonder what made the CVs change the character names in the last moment. Just curious so posted😳

During the launch of the show the Actors introduce themselves and GC introduced himself as YASH and KS as ARTI!!!!

I was curious about why the names were changed as well...I remember when Gurmeet and Kratika were asked about the change, they joked around amongst themselves but didn't actually answer the question, so they probably don't know why.
