Earring scene: symbolism decoded!!

When Arnav returns to the changing room and picks up Khushi's jhumkas.. the scene I feel has a deep meaning!! the CVs are giving us a hint of what is to come..by looking into the past of what it was then, what it is today and what it will be tomo.. earlier Arnav used to collect Khushi's things (for e.g. the payal) he dint know why.. he just kept them.. later with time Arnav realises his feelings for Khushi and mentally accepts it ( the scene where he holds Khushi's hand lovingly and gives her back her earrings the day after teri meri dance sequence) now.. it has come to today, where Khushi also acknowledges the feeling by taking what is her's with authority.. Arnav's hand with jhumkas.. she is also sure and accepts her feelings openly (which will be the revelation that the spoilers are talking about).. Then Arnav realises the mistake he made in judging Khushi ( the guilt makes him walk away not able to face his love).. and later Khushi comes to know that Arnav had not trusted her and thought she was having an affair with Shyam which affects her aatma samman! she throws away the earring which was hers(Arnav's love/Arnav) coz she believes no love is worth/true when there is no trust!!

yesss! there we go. I knew that scene had to mean something...couldnt just be random...but just couldnt quite put my finger on it. Thanks for this!

that's exactly why i LOVE this show. It's so deep. The only show on television that does that.

sometimes i wish there was background commentary from the CVs or the director pointing out all the hints and symbolism, but all the posts on IF do that! thanks for the post!

Arnav will know very soon that Khushi loves him and is innocent.. Khushi will know later that Arnav had not trusted her and she will walk away from him!!lekin aisa hoga? kab hoga kam se kam Asr ko thoda sa to hint mil jaaye ki khushi bekasoor hai. bas yeh hint milni suru ho jaaye aur arnav ke munn mein jo shaque ke badal hai woh dheere dheere hatna suru ho jaaye aise hi jeise onion ke ek ke baad ek layer khulne suru ho jaaye.

I bow down to your intelligence and perceptiveness 😆 You're amazing! Your analysis just made the scene much more meaningful and much more beautiful for me. The CVs are true artists. I wish I could have understood this at the beginning. I spend way too much time with my attention and my eyes focused on Arnav... it's a problem because then I miss everything. Even if I watch it two more times, my eyes still stare at Arnav. It takes about 10 times for me to pay 50% attention to what's actually going on in the show. Thank you for your analysis!
