Yes, Aarti behaved in a poor way. But in that scene her character became REAL. Up until then, she was a perfect mother, a perfect daughter, orphaned at a young age, intelligent, hard-working, beautiful, etc. She remains all these things. But for the first time you see a flaw. I celebrate it. She is allowed to be stubborn. She's allowed to want to hold on to the dreams she built with her first husband. Isn't Yash doing the same?
My definition of self-respect doesn't include women behaving sedately, and taking 'what others will think' into account. Their respect is inherent, and no outside source can take it away from them. I understand why she met with Prashant. It isn't easy to do what she's about to do.

NOW U R CHANGING THIS TOPIC. BCS U HAVE NOTHING TO SAY ON MY POST. BCS U PERSONALLY R NOT TOTALLY CONVINCED WHAT U SAID BEFORE.
ANYWAYS ABT YASH'S DANCING PERFORMANCE HE WAS TOTALLY OUT OF THAT PARTY. HE WAS DANCE WITH THAT DANCER BCS HIS BROS FORCEFULLY TOOK HIM TO DANCE FLOR & THERE WAS NOTHING OVER IN HIS DANCE NOR LESS MANNERED PLSSS.
AND AS FAR AS CARRYING AARTI OFF THE DANCE FLOOR CONCERNED HE ONLY HELPED HER. & SAVED HER FROM GETTING AWKWARD IN FRONT OF SO MANY PEOPLE ESPECIALLY BOYS & MEN.
& I SAID ABT AARTI HAS NO SELF RESPECT WHICH I MEAN IT BCS I PERSONALLY GONE THROGH SOMETHING LIKE THAT BEFORE (NOT EXACTLY LIKE THEM) & I FORGIVE THAT PERSON NOT...AND WILL NOT IN FUTURE ALSO

No one is perfect! Neither Yash nor Aarti! I thought Yash overacted and behaved irrationally after the haldi ceremony. Aarti handled in much more mature manner.

I did not change the topic. I actually answered each question you had. And as far as Yash 'rescuing' her from the party. Then he didn't know until late that night about her lengha. He seriously just picked her up and hauled her off, because he wanted to talk. He didn't know about the wardrobe malfunction until later.
As far as the dancer goes. Yes at first he was forced. But there came a point where he was just letting loose and having fun. Yes it was a little 😲, but he did it anyway. And he is excused because it is his bachelor party, and he had the grace to look ashamed afterwards.

And I'm sorry, but you're not the only one who's gone through break-ups. Aarti is allowed to feel whatever she is feeling (ie lost, confused, empty) without being labelled as lacking self-respect. Just like Yash is forgiven his 'manner-less' behaviour, Aarti should be forgiven hers. They each have their reasons.

Ps: I love both their characters, and I'm not trying to pit one against the other. I'm just trying to prove a point. Double-standards don't flatter any argument.

She starts begging the guy??? This is not a good example- this is like an abused woman just getting hit and coming back for more...and I do not say this lightly, as this is a serious issue (tele show or not) it just made me lose respect for the character, for me Shobha is the star of the show for me...a true woman of substance. I have really lost interest now. I may watch from time to time but I can predict what will happen...MIL picks on Aarti, the boy gets ignored, the husband shows up, maybe tries to blackmail...all hell breaks loose

I wasn't trying to compare Arptia and Prashant, just Yash and Aarti. Like Yash said after he found her. He feels justified in this marriage because Aarti also has someone in her heart. Prashant is a insensitive weak and selfish man. The type I hate most.

I found the scene significant for the same reasons you disliked it. For a strong woman like Aarti to so beggar herself, it is a big thing. And it shows that her insistence of being with Prashant, is about more than just her love for him. Someone else wrote that Aarti refuses to accept reality, she likes to fit things into little boxes, and refuses to acknowledge what the universe is telling her. She's also an orphan, and Prashant was her first love (not just romantic). He's the first one in her life to offer her home and family, and somewhere in her heart, she just can't let go. Maybe she feels it was a fluke. And that no man will ever love her again. Or that the only man capable of giving Ansh a father's love is his biological father.

She's just weak when it comes to Prashant. And I can understand why. He seems to be someone that exploits her weaknesses. I felt bad for her. Why did Prashant have to call her on the day of her WEDDING? Why did he have to call her to their spot at the mandir? He did all of those things to manipulate her into thinking he wanted to come back, and she did.

She's just like a lot of girls. You dream of a 'prince' and then when some guy shows up and tells you 'I love you', you buy into it and build all your dreams around him. First loves, especially those that are not healthy, really screw with your mind. If she hasn't forgotten about Prashant in the last 4 years, maybe that's because she has his child (biologically anyway). She lives with his parents. I don't blame her for being unable to forget.

The tawdry nature of how that sequence was shot (ie: her husband to be down below, and she's begging her ex to take her back), definitely has its effect. I think the audience was supposed to get very critical of it.
As for Shobha, yes I love her. She is truly something.

THERE IS NOTHING DOUBLE STANDARDS AND ALL. I AM TALKING ABT THAT CHARACTER & NOT ABT KS. I KNOW SHE IS WONDERFUL ACTRESS & I ALSO LOVE BOTH OF THEM.
AND I ALSO KNOW THAT I AM NOT ALONE WHO GONE THROUGH BREAK-UPS AND ALL. BUT STILL I AM NOT AGREE WITH AARTI'S POV. INFACT YASH LOOKS MORE NATURAL WIDOWER THAN AARTI WHO IS DIVORCEE.
YASH UNDERSTOOD WHICH WAS HAPPEN IN PARTY THAT WAS HAPPEN BCS OF HIS RING. BUT HE ALREADY KNEW THAT SOMETHING WAS HAPPEN WITH HER GHAGRA.BCS WHEN SHE CALLED MANSI AND AFTER THAT SHE WAS CONSTANTLY LOOKING AT HER GHAGRA WHICH YASH ALSO NOTICED. AND PLSSS NOW STOP THIS TOPIC BCS U R JUST STRETCHING THIS LIKE A CHEWING GUM... SO PLSSS U JUST LIVE WITH UR RESPECTED THOUGHTS
