I think now they are going to show for sometime that Veer has gone back to US and settled there...anyways whenever there was a situation before which he didn't want to face, he wanted to go back to US ( after Vansh-Ichcha wedding and also when Veer- Ichcha were separated). And as the show will progress they will gradually bring him back and as well his memory and there would be this high emotional drama like every time, of this "bicharna aur milna".
But since Nandish is no more part of the serial (I genuinely wish I am wrong and he returns to the show😊), they have to bring in someone who appear to be as close to him as possible just as they have replaced Hiten inplace of Sushant as Manav in Pavitra Rishta, after the leap. In that show also Manav returns after a long leap of 18 or 20 years. Even there Archana who is supposed to a 40+ mother of God knows of how many children😕, is infact looking younger than her daughters in few scenes😆 with all those georgette sarees,puffed sleeve blouses and jewellaries.
