Arjun's Bashing - Not reasonable!

I see several topics aimed toward scrutinizing Arjun's behavior and in the end, inferring that Arjun's behaving immaturely especially given the fact that he is educated and is from Canada. First of all people, an occidental nationality does not ensure a brain. I'm from Canada, and I see lots of imbecilic individuals here. So, point refuted on the grounds of absurdness.

Specifically in regards with Arjun's behaviour, I think that he so ardently admires Purvi that he has dumbed down a bit, can no longer discern what is wrong or right. Also, don't forget the fact that he is consciously unaware of his own strongly developing feelings for Purvi. So, first of all the confusion has led up to such behaviour.

Secondly, we're just witnessing the insecure, apprehensive side of Arjun, which mind you, is quite natural for someone who lost his mother at a young age. Furthermore, he's the only child; he had no support from his siblings to cope with his life -long adversities, just a father that is very business oriented. In the end, I think the impact of such adversities in his life leads him to dumb down/panic/behave irrationally in pressure situations.

Third, Purvi is unconsciously fulfilling the role of his mother in his life, teaching him about morals, humanity, sacrificing/ compromising. So, she has sort of become an inspiration for him. He admires her so much that he cannot stand to see her unhappy, but unfortunately he thinks that her happiness lies in that schmuck, Vinay. So, he's doing everything possible to ensure her "happiness".

I think once he professes his love for Purvi and once he realizes that them two are meant to be, then he'll start acting rational again.

Anyhow, that's my rationale behind his behaviour, but I do not condone his actions at all. What he's doing is WRONG, but it can be justified from his point of view.

He's still a nice guy in the end, because his intentions are pure (and no I don't believe he's doing this to get over guilt). He cares for Purvi, just doesn't know how to execute that "care" in a manner that is right.

In Pavitra Rishta all men turned out this way once they fall for their women..Assertive men become weaklings. We have seen it with Manohar, Manav, Satish, Arjun and Vinay even to some extent..Only one dude never changed was Dharmesh..

lol, sort of have to agree. This reminds me of that song actually, "What I've been waiting for - Brian Mcknight" May be they should use this as Arjun-Purvi theme song.

LOL! I know eh!? It always baffles me when I see people judging on the basis of citizenship. Belonging to a certain country doesn't make you astute, sincere, nice ...etc. If that were true, I would choose to live in a country where only nice people resided, and I think the evils would prefer to be in company with the other evils. So we would have a NICELAND and an EVILLAND = Perfect world! =P

@Sugar_21 bahahaha! :P if such "lands" existed, life would be plain boring, and not everyone's perfect..everyone does lack something whereas some people are good, and some people are just not. They are plain selfish..but as far as characters are concerned, i like those male characters where they are a little mean but turn soft to the person whom they care the most about :)

LOL, indeed! How does that saying go, " A henpecked household is a happy household"??? Just kidding!!
Sugar, doing a copy/paste of what I wrote last night on the Ekta/Arjun making a big mess for Purvi thread:
Re-watched the last scene and changed my mind about Arjun 😊
His restlessness and anxiety and his concern for Purvi in the last scene, his repeated phone calls to her and his midnight jaunt in the car, aimlessly driving around looking for her made up for his moronic proposal earlier.
The guy is totally obsessed with Purvi and cannot think of anything but her - he just wants everything to be perfect for her - not realizing that in setting right the wrong that was done - he only stands to lose her, His "you are going to start work tomorrow" like he would not brook no for an answer showed that he wants her close to him no matter what, The love sick fool has not yet woken up to the fact that he is a hapless victim of Cupid now😉
The way he said today as he was dropping her home that her happiness means everything to him redeemed any silly idea he might have had of funding Vinay's greed! Arjun is a total doll!!
