DAY 4

(part 2)

Mr. Mehta comes to Arnav almost running, panting, out of oxygen. Stops to gather his thought, takes a deep breath and then speaks silently to him.

"Sir, I need to speak to you. It's VERY VERY URGENT."

He gasps some air and continues: "I wanted to tell you this before, but you left and did not pick up your phone. Please sir, please…….listen to what I have to say and show you. I looked for you everywhere, but couldn't find you after you left your hotel…."he stops to catch his breath.

Arnav's face deepens. He stands up and looks at Mr Mehta.

"Is the plane ready? Then let's go".

Mr. Mehta steps back a few yards and says Sir, "NO". "Its something else".

"We got you ticket for tomorrow morning at 10 AM. I will drive you there and pack your stuff right away. BUT sir, please I beg you, give me a minute." Very scarily he puts his hand on Arnav's shoulder and gives a begging look.

Arnav gets up from the table and takes the file in hand. "What is it Mr Mehta?"

He hands Arnav the file, not answering his question.

Arnav holds the black leather folder in hand.

Looks at the email print out where she signed.

Arnav then looks back at Mr. Mehta.

He stares at the first page for 2 minutes.

LOCATION: MR. COOPER'S VILLA

(SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA)

The night sky is lit up with thousands of flashes; the air is misty and heavy. The drum beats are sweeping the ambiance. ….. Boom Boom Boom !!

The entire surrounding is cheering the merger and people are coming to Arnav to shake his hand. The ballroom is thumping at full swing. Chatter of the people, base of the music, and laughter of the guests are stirring up frenzy.

But ……..

Each in that very instant, all sounds start to get washed out , the glam of the beautiful candles darken and every single human being blurs out……….. Their reality become irrelevant at that very moment.

Reporters' yelp, flashes of the cameras, stare of the crowd , all grow fainter .

BLANK…………..

ARNAV blankly looks at the floor underneath and RAISES his right hand involuntarily as summoned by his instincts to get a grip of the table in front of him……….

ARNAV slightly jolts down and then opens his eyes.

Arnav looks at Mr Mehta….and then……. flips the first page open, looks at the content again.

Like a man under seize, he mechanically turns the next page with every ounce of energy left in him.

Mr Mehta is surprised at Arnav's reaction. He was hoping for all heal to break loose at this very moment.

Astonishingly he remains pretty calm and composed. The hot temperament, restlessness, anxiety and peacefulness are not present!

Arnav whispers and says : "Mr Gomez."

Mr Mehta like lightning stricken obedient minor, jumps up, brings his phone out and dials Mr Gomez the lawyer in a fraction of a second.

ARNAV speaks:

" YES or NO?"

He is BLANK…..

…………………BLANK AND LIFELESS…………

……………………………………………………HE STANDS SILENT IN THE MIDST OF THE ROARING CROWD,

THERE HE STANDS AS A SCLUPTED PIECE OF STATUE………

In the middle of the dark marble stair case and open windows:

STANDS ALONE "THE GREEK GOD" LIKE SCLUPTURE OF ARNAV: "Thanatos"

Mr Cooper and others stands up anxious looking at him.

He excuses himself politely from the party and walks away, holding the file to his chest.

DAY 4 ( part 3)

The waves are crashing on the beach. The night is serene and pitches black. Thousands of starry lights fabricate the western horizon.

At a distance a seagull rips the night sky with a shrill screech.

His room is dark, only a dimmed light is on and the curtains are moving with the breeze.

The party room down stair is loud and rowdy. ARNAV pours himself a large drink and starts sipping.

He looks at the watch and sees the date again. His raspy voice utters:

"She still had 4 days remaining."

" Then WHY? …"
